Dr. Perry Todd Shuman, MD

The entire staff at North Country Orthopaedics was so friendly, up until my actual appointment with Dr. Shuman. The nurses were super friendly, the radiologist was funny, and Dr. Shuman was none of those things. When asking me which course of action I'd like to take for an ongoing issue with my wrist, I indicated that I would prefer a cortisone injection over time-consuming bracing and physical therapy. I have two small children and very little free time. He responded aggressively with , "Believe it or not, I do have common sense!!!" I was stunned by the response. I had been nothing but kind and nice, and nothing I said or did warranted such an abrasive declaration. Both of the nurses in the room looked stunned and horrified as well. If I have to return to this office for follow-up care, I will specifically request not to see him. There is no reason to talk to a patient that way. I have seen many doctors in my lifetime, and I have never, ever had an experience like this one.

Find a different dr. He will not spend time listening to what's going on with you. Just felt like he didn't care at all, was very rushed. Was not satisfied with the results when he told me I had to "live with the pain".

He doesn't spend enough time listening to what you actually say. Turned everything around when push came to shove. Never put me on any restrictions then threw me under the bus when he was the one that looked bad. Find another doctor.
