Dr. Petar Vukasin, MD

Please read our experience and STAY AWAY from Dr. Vukasin and staff!!! Their conduct is dishonest, unprofessional and their billing and recordkeeping is willfully or negligently filled with errors so they can double bill, over charge and falsely charge their patients and insurance. Save yourself the headache and hours of phone calls and stress by just finding someone else. Probably anyone else! For a visit a year ago, we are still getting bills, duplicate and inaccurate bills, filled with mistakes on practically every line item!!! Before the colonoscopy there was first an office visit. One visit, but it was billed twice as if it was two visits! One they categorized as an office visit, then on an additional bill they categorized it as an outpatient visit!!! It was in the Doctors office, not a hospital, it was one visit, not two visits, but because they are across the street from a hospital, they double dip on the bill and charge you twice as if you had 2 visits. That was only… the beginning of the suspicious mistakes. Even though my husbands colonoscopy was a normal, routine, preventative screening, Dr. Vukasin incorrectly billed it as "diagnostic" which is much more expensive. We can only assume it was to collect more money for it. We saw this mistake right away on the bill when we saw what a high price it was, I called their office and spent a good deal of time on the phone with them about this. They admitted this mistake and said they would change it and re-submit it to the insurance. This back and forth has been going on now for a year and according to my insurance, and another bill they sent to me, they are still trying to incorrectly bill it as a diagnostic!!! So either they are totally incompetent, or they don't do what they say they will do, or they are doing this intentionally. All three reasons are unacceptable and unethical!!!! My husbands colonoscopy which he had done a couple weeks after that first office visit, came back perfectly clear, no polyps, no tumors, no diverticula, no ulcers, no bleeding, no inflammation, etc. He told this to me, my husband and I have the hospital paperwork to prove it!!! After the procedure Dr. Vukasin gave him an excellent bill of health and said he wouldn't need to do another colonoscopy for at least 10 years. However, on the bill he sent in to the insurance, he listed finding bleeding and hemorrhaging which there was absolutely NONE!!! He completely lied on my husbands medical records just to make it seem like there was a problem so he could collect more money, UNBELIEVABLE! You would expect a doctor to be honest, but not this one!!! All this would be very very bad right?... but there is more! On the bill for that first visit to his office where we went for the pre-colonoscopy consultation, we noticed he also billed for a procedure that he did not do. I was there, my husband was there, and it never happened. When I called to dispute the charge, the person who took my call said that is what they always do when there is bleeding. Well, there is proof again that they lie, because there never was any bleeding!!! Yet they are trying to charge us for it!! And if that wasn't bad enough, they are trying to BILL US TWICE FOR IT! They added a charge for the bogus procedure on the claim on the "office visit" bill, then charged us again for the same procedure on the second bill for the "outpatient visit". They were the exact same visit, just in the doctors office!!! I can understand someone making one accidental mistake, but this Doctor and office makes mistakes on everything! That can't be accidental. If this doctor and his staff can be this negligent, or deceptively corrupt on their billing, we are now skeptical of his competency on the actual colonoscopy!!!! For your own sake, PLEASE AVOID GOING TO THIS DR. (DR. PETER VUKASIN) or it will cost you dearly in time, stress, worry, frustration, and yes, it will cost you your hard earned money by his inflated, fraudulent and duplicate bills! Because the mistakes are so many and so egregious, I really felt I needed to warn others on here about this doctors substandard care and unprofessional conduct and practices. I wish someone had warned us so we could have avoided going through this. Someone like Dr. Peter Vukasin. should not be allowed or trusted to practice medicine.

Saw Dr. Vukasin for a second opinion on a colorectal issue after previously visiting an out of network doctor who recommended a surgical procedure that would have run me $5,000 out of pocket. Dr. Vukasin reviewed my options with me, and then treated the problem in a simple 15 minute office procedure! The pain immediately subsided, without taking the time and spending the money on an expensive surgery. His staff was also friendly and outstanding. I was thrilled to find this doctor, and highly recommend both him, and the Dignity Health Colorectal Center in Glendale.

Didn't give me a chance to talk about my symptoms. Just told me that everyone had the intestinal flu and in all probability I had it to. I went to another doctor who said that I did not have the flu. He misdiagnosed me and I cancelled my colonoscopy with hi. He was very brusque and bordered on being rude and just a miserable person.

Dr cared for my Father. Cancer. He was amazing! Kind, patient, excellent surgeon, and treated my Father with respect. He made sure to check in on him in the hospital and followed up with my Mom to review his care at home. Love this doctor!

Rude and unfriendly. Terrible follow up. Staff makes many mistakes and are rude. Some staff are nice though. I wish I had had other options but I did not. He is not a nice person

He just wants to get u under the knife, get his money, & be done with you!!!! He's horrible! He won't even give u 5 minutes after the surgery. He can care less if u even survive after the surgery much less if the surgery went wrong or if you're dying of pain! Dogs get a better treatment at the veterinarian!!! My life is a living nightmare because of him!!!!

This Doctor is useless, I went in for an abscess problem and he end cutting me in the wrong place. He does not have any patience, he makes you wait forever and he's always in a hurry, he does not let you talk and his always talking over you. I told him that the pain was still there and that he had cut me in the wrong place but his answer was there's nothing else I can do for you and if you like you can go see another Doctor which I decided to do. Office staff was average in service but he was totally unprofessional.

He is my second best doctor out of 6 others. Friendly, spend more then enough time with me. Really tries to help. Very professional and honest. Office staff is also very friendly and professional. I noticed that this office has one of the best doctors.

I took my mom this doctor for an appointment and I was livid with the way the staff just doesn't care about patients. The doctor is always in a hurry, just says his diagnosis and doesn't let the patient ask any questions, just pushes along on to the next patient.

This doctor is great. The office staff is very POOR!
