Dr. Pete Ledley Caples, MD

Dr. Caples was my cardiologist for almost 2 years. He was condescending and rude much of the time. I could overlook that if the medical care was up to par. It was not. He gave me incorrect test results. I knew the results were wrong because my other dr had already been in and updated me. Dr. Caples did not even bother to look it up until I asked again. Then, he admitted he could be wrong because he had "seen 30 of these today". I expect a dr to take the time to be sure when he is talking about the ejection fraction of my heart. During my visits, he has told me that I "managed to take too much of his time" by asking questions. He also asked me if I would "even understand" if he gave me the numbers for my pulmonary hypertension. I think I probably could understand but I also think it's his job to explain it to me. The final straw for me was his putting me on heart medication and blood thinners and having his receptionist say I didn't need to come back for 14 months. I… am assuming he dislikes me as much as I dislike him. The difference is, he was getting paid to treat my heart condition. I would never recommend him to anyone.

saved my life 8 1/2 years ago with Quadruple by-pass. Couldn't ask for a better DR.

My 86 YO father saw him for the first time. Dr. comes in and says " You're two years younger than my last patient. I hope you're not deaf too." My dad is legally deaf. What an insult. Everything else after that was just Blah Blah Blah. Will not be going back.

There were quite a few wrong diagnosis, alot of easy anxiety answers were given, many heart beats would beat a minute as I would watch my shirt go up and down with the pounding of my heart. Ringing of my ears and the closing of my throat, it was so hard to breathe and happening more often everyday and lasting longer and longer, I knew something more was wrong but no one would listen...You, on the first visit, told me WPW, explained how my heart could had burst at anytime with the heartbeats beating as mine, explained WPW and saved my life, forever I'll be grateful to you! I was 30 at the time and now 58 and still come each year to see you! You're the most understanding, caring, intelligent doctor I've known and there are no numbers high enough for you!! Thank you for paying attention to my heart and saving my life ??

I gave Dr. Caples a 1 star that's because his office manager & his nurse Kathy don't refill meds. Kathy is useless & all the staff that works for him.

This man is, without a doubt, the finest physician I have ever seen. He diagnosed my heart attack accurately and has provided excellent follow-up care and and inspires me with great Trust.

I first met him after I was admitted to B. North during a heart attack. He listened attentively to my description of symptoms and answered every question in great detail. By the next afternoon his partner, Dr. Choo, with the help of an assistant inserted a DES (Stent) in my LAD coronary artery. I have followed up with him as requested and he has done everything possible to reassure me and take care of me. He is my favorite doctor of all time!

Dr. Caples is wonderful. He listens with geat interest, and then explains his answers to questions in great detail. He has great empathy and knows his subject inside and out. I feel very lucky to have him as my cardiologist!
