I was taken to Eden Medical ER, where I had a CT and was diagnosed with a bleed in the brain, also known as a hemorrhagic stroke. They called Dr. Adamczyk, whose office is next door. He saved my life, literally. Hemorrhagic strokes have a high mortality rate. 15 months ago, I couldn't move (or feel) anything on my left side. I am now walking, talking and typing with 10 fingers. Dr. Adamczyk also noticed a suspicious shadow in a brain MRI and suggested he take a closer look. It was an unruptured aneurysm. After a few months of rehab, Dr. Adamczyk "coiled" the aneurysm, to prevent a future rupture. He checked on the aneurysm after 6 months and gave me an all-clear. Nice to know there is not a ticking time bomb in my head.
