Dr. Angelov mocked and belittled my heath concerns, assumed my medical background without asking (for example, told me that my cholesterol is normal, when I've recently been shown to have high cholesterol), and rudely questioned the qualifications of the nurse in my family who recommended me to the ER. When I told him I didn't appreciate his sarcastic tone, he told me that he used the sarcastic tone because it was his job to educate me. He then refused to get a supervisor, refused to spell his name for me, and refused to give me his license number. He looked at me, saw a young woman, and completely disregarded any of my concerns. I am not confident he even looked at my chart or test results. He is perpetuating the institutional harm that stems from women not being believed and not getting the help and care they deserve, and he needs to do better.

He left me untreated in the emergency room for an hour and a half with severe life threatening injuries. He left me soaked in my own excrements that entire time until I was able to convince the X-ray tech to cut off my foiled clothes. He refused even a pillow to make me comfortable and threatened to kick my partner out of the room when he was asked for help stabilizing my shattered pelvis after my partner was literally holding me together single handedly for almost two hours.
