Dr. Peter Barkoff

Dr. Barkoff and his crew were wonderful from start to finish. I cannot say enough good things about this office! I don’t love going to the dentist but I have to say that my experience here was painless and enjoyable. The staff are all so warm and made me feel so comfortable. Dr. Barkoff eased my nerves immediately and was able to accommodate everything I needed done right in his office due the the advanced technology they have, which is not the case for the prior dental offices I have been to. Everything was done in a timely fashion, but I never felt rushed. I highly recommend Barkoff Dental and am so glad I made the switch!!

Dr. Barkoff and his entire staff are amazing, kind and caring. From the moment you walk through the door the secretaries at the desk are smiling, they are knowledgeable about your insurance coverage. The hygienists are amazing with the extra care and patience as they take x-rays and complete my cleaning along with my three children(2,4,6). Behind this great staff is an amazing Dr. He takes his time with each patient explaining problems and procedures he sees. He values your time and thoughts!!

The hygienist said I had 14 cavities, needed a crown, and a deep scaling. She was very scripted on what she said to me and made me feel like she knew her stuff, but I didn't know better. I'm not in the field, but I have friends who are. The dentist did not even check the hygienist's suggestions on my "cavities" with an instrument. He spoke little to me about what needed to be done. He did ask if I had questions, but he should've spoken to me about the diagnosis in depth. 14 cavities and a crown are BIG DEALS, especially $8,000 worth. I went to another office for a second opinion, a family friend Dentist, and he said I had only TWO cavities and did not even need a crown or a deep scaling. A discoloration on one of my teeth from braces was misdiagnosed as decay when it wasn't at all, and some teeth there was nothing at ALL. Also, a deep scaling is not suggested for people who do not have severe gum problems. It was all money making so they could charge my insurance. Dr. Barkoff's… suggested plan given by his hygienist would've costed me $8,000 and lots of drilling on perfectly good teeth, unnecessary dental work. This is seriously the scariest thing I've ever encountered. You do not mess with people's teeth!!! 100% honest review right here. Good looking dentist, beautiful high tech. office, and even great looking staff, but do not let that fool you, so unethical. I'm posting this so no one will be taken advantage of like I almost did, because it is the right thing to do. I do not want anything rectified for me nor do I want a dignified response from the office. I want to share with the public my experience so people can make their own educated decision and choose to take the risk or not.
