Dr. Peter Birk, MD

Dr. Birk managed my Pulmonary challenges for close to three years, and I consistently felt secure in his care. He initially did testing and shared the results clearly along with a plan for treatment. He made follow-up appointments at consistent intervals, along with additional appointments per need. His listening skills are top notch, and he gives feedback to clarify. It's clear that he respects my experience as a patient. As his patient, I appreciate his intelligence as well as his energy put into his medical practice. Dr. Birk is HORRIBLE. He refused to follow the same treatment plan prescribed by 2 prior Pulmonologist. Told me to, "Just call him if I got sick, and told me I might get cancer if he gave me the same treatment plan I had been following." He said that in front of my 3 young children resulting in them leaving the office crying.

I think the staff is very competent & courteous

I was referred to Mr. Birk by Patient First for pneumonia after 1 and half months of treatment. There was a wheezing rattling present in my chest/lungs and even a video I let him listen to. Yet he diagnosed it as striders with a Flonase treatment. A few days later I was rushed to the ER and diagnosised with Asthma. Mr. Birk actually told me to call him the next time I was having a severe asthma attack..That angered me. Being diagnosed with Asthma as an adult is scary and he seems to have no clue and very dry bedside manner. I will not be returning because just last Friday I was back in the hospital for shortness of breath from bronchspasma and flu. Stay away from this Dr.

He is the worst doctor I have ever had contact with. He was so sure that I was imagining my problems because he could not find an answer. It was a severe problem that he should have found. After about 6 months of visits, I finally went some where else. They found my problem in the first visit.

I'm so happy I found him. He makes sense, explains things well. Great staff. I feel like I am in really good hands.

He has the worst office staff i have ever encountered. The women running his office are very rude & incompetent. He gave my husband a diagnosis but offered no form of treatment! Thankfully we found another wonderful dr that is treating my husband for his disease.

THIS DOCTOR MIS DX MY HUSBAND AND HAD TO HAVE HALF OF HIDS LUNG REMOVED AND I'M NOT AND HAPPY CAMOER WRIGHT NOW FOR THIS TOOK AWAY MY HUSBAND LIFE EVEN THOUGH HE CAN NOT WORK A TIME JOB DUE LUNG PROBLEM HE IS ALIVE.
