Dr. Peter B Blankenhorn, MD

This doctor moved his office to a new location and I was not informed of the change before my appointment. The first time I was ever late to an appointment, just 15 minutes, and he refused to see me. I explained my situation to the receptionist to no avail. No offer to reschedule. No offer to wait until there may be an opening later. How many times do doctors leave us waiting? I was even checked in online ahead of time and, of course, paid my co-pay in advance as well.

When my mother was ill, he gave her the best of care. He showed compassion and true concern for her health. In addition, he gave her the best medical care.

Rare to wait long in office visits. Knowledgeable. Several yrs ago, was i hospital for very serious illness; Dr Blankenhorn came in every morning ar 5:00 a.m. to check on progres. His office staff and nurse are also v. good. Been seeing Dr. B for probably 15 years, never a problem.

Asks thorough questions and listens to patient; seeks to understand entire situation, not just immediate surface symptoms; I have been a patient over 15 years, and find him one of most thorough doctors I visit

Moving on to a new doctor. As a weight lifter, I don't have your typical body build. When Dr. Blankenhorn pulled out a little BMI gadget and told me I should weigh 160 lbs based on my age and height, I laughed. I would weigh 220 lbs with zero body fat. This guy is old enough to be using antiquated techniques such as gadgety BMI calculators. Not worth my time. Goodbye.

I have been a patient of Dr. Blankenhorn for approx 10 years. I have never been disappointed in the care that I have received from him or his nursing staff. I recommend him to everyone that I know.
