gnosing people without taking into consideration all the variables that should be considered in consideration. Moreover, he has some sort of haphephobia, phobia that involves the fear of being touched. He couldn’t take my blood pressure measures, he tried to explain me how to do it without even making sure the device was placed well. And he tried to explain to me how to do it correctly. I’m sorry, but when I go to an MD I expect him, at least, to be able to take my measurements without getting freaked out. And, without bias- which made him hurt and damage my health more than it was before I reached out to him for help. HE IS THE WORST MD I EVER HAD MET

I saw Dr. Bookstein and felt like he didn't listen to me at all. For example, while taking my health history I mentioned having an eating disorder as a teenager, but that I had been recovered for a decade and feel great about my body now. His immediate follow up question was "Do you think you're overweight now?" He then asked me to detail my weight and how many calories I consume (I don't know, I no longer count them). Later when discussing medication he said that given my history with an eating disorder I would need to be weighed regularly by a medical professional (despite my weight being stable for years, having no issues with this, and being on the medication in question for years with no issues). If you're not into an EXTREMELY paternalistic attitude from your provider, look elsewhere.
