Dr. Peter Jay Bregman, MD

My daughter was referred to a podiatrist specifically for a condition that her pediatrician could no longer continue treating. Over the phone there was mention of non covered services, however I noted specifically the recommendation that my daughter's pediatrician had referred us for and what she was currently being treated with. Upon being taken back, the Drs assistant spoke with my husband and daughter briefly regarding her concerns, snapped a photo to "show" the Dr and returned to present a course of treatment for only the non covered service, which involved a laser treatment , cost $80 a session and may take 8-9 sessions. This service would be expected on top of our normal office visit as well of $40 + the credit card processing fee. This was about the time my husband called me and I immediately asked why the Dr was not in the room and who was explaining all this?! I let them know it was rather unethical to only present the "non covered" treatment and pass it off as the only… option, further how unprofessional it was that the Dr couldn't be bothered to complete the exam in person prior to coming up with this course of treatment. Dr Bregman did finally come into the room, at which time he did review concerns and present and alternative option which would be considered with our insurance, however this option was substantially less effective than what our pediatrician has been doing and about the same as what we were completing with our home treatments. It was a rather disappointing visit since we thought a specialist would provide a more wide range of treatment options, but it has provided a lesson for us to ask more detailed questions at our next office! The experience has also been relayed to our pediatrician, which not surprising, she has received less than stellar feedback about this office as of recent and they will not be sending anymore referrals. (Update - in reference to his addition of suggesting that I am lying regarding speaking to my providers office. I spoke with their referral coordinator, we have had conversations both on the phone and through email, and have since given her a name of a new podiatrist to whom she can refer their pediatric patients to, which she stated she will begin using!) Since I notice that Dr Bregman does like to reply to his reviews, I would urge you to follow HIPAA policy when replying to mine. I work in healthcare and do not provide my consent to have any medical information shared!

My husband, Bob is able to walk on a foot several doctors wanted to amputate. Dr. Bregmans' skills and compassion make him an amazing physician. His dedication to healing and that he cares about his patients is rare. Highly recommend him!!

He was very forward and inappropriate. Lecherous, in fact. Which was all more concerning because I'm a guy. The man has some repressed issues going on.

I flew from Montana to Las Vegas to have Dr. Bregman perform nerve decompression surgery for a Morton's Neuroma in my left foot because he came highly recommended and is a specialist in treating this issue. It has only been one week since the surgery, so it's too early to comment on whether it was successful or not. However, I can say I'm extremely pleased at this point. The surgery itself went very well and I have had almost zero pain, even without pain mediation. I was given clear pre and post operative instructions. Communication with Dr. Bregman throughout the entire process has been absolutely excellent. He is very accessible for questions and concerns. Despite the additional expenses associated with travel, I would want to see Dr. Bregman again for any serious foot problems because I have confidence that he knows his stuff!

After years of pain and suffering from a bunion, I decided to have it removed. Dr. Peter Bregman did an excellent job on my surgery. I followed his instructions and stayed off my foot. I am participating in therapy and will return to work soon. I am very happy that I chose Dr. Bregman for my surgery. Janyce B.

Dr. Bregman is kind, and caring when it comes to bedside manner. He is knowledgeable and explains everything in detail. He gives multiple options for treatment and I felt very respected as a patient in his office.

Recently I had an appointment with Dr. Bregman. I refused to sign a document which related to some terms should I choose to institute a medical malpractice suit in the future. Other than lawyers and others in that profession, imo the average citizen should never sign such agreements without the advice of a lawyer. Because I wouldn't sign, Peter Bregman refused to see me. I cannot judge most of the individual star ratings since he wouldn't see me so I'm taking the middle ground and rating them 3 but again this is not based on my experience but because I can't post otherwise. The staff rating of 1 however relates to the office manager. I told her I can't sign that form relating to legal issues as I'm not knowledgeable on the legal issues involved. She stated it's just a form giving him permission to treat you. I pointed out that clearly it's NOT just that. She said EVERY medical office requires patients sign one of those. This is also NOT true. The form states at the bottom… "Patient/guardian acknowledges that he/she has been given ample opportunity to read this agreement and to ask questions about it." Based on the office manager's comments, there is probably no one in that front office who are qualified to help with questions about the form and be able to give accurate answers. At any rate, none of the others in the front office - and they were all listening to the conversation - spoke up and corrected the office manager on her false statements.
