Dr. Peter John Christiano, MD

I am incredibly impressed with Dr Christiano’s ability to hear my spoken and (often unspoken) complaints. You may have to wait to see him, but once you’re in the exam room, he is there 200% there - not rushing to see the next patient. Also, he & his staff communicate VERY well, making me think he is a kind boss as well. So grateful I got the referral when my dr abruptly left town.

If you are an older patient, and particularly a woman, Do Not see this doctor. He has no patience with the limitations older women have when performing vaginal exam...he actually twisted the blasted speculum while it was inside me!!! Talk about painful! He got very angry when I decided to choose Crouse doctors as my cardiologist and hip replacement doctors. He is just getting too old and focused on making money to actually care about his patients.

Dr. Christiano, has been our family doctor for over 30 years. He has treated four generations of my family, parents, spouse, children and grandchildren. You do not find such a compassionate, understanding doctor very often, in this day and time. We are blessed to have him as our physician!

Liz from billing was one of the rudest people I've ever dealt with. It was clear she simply did not want to take the time to answer my questions. Dr. Christiano's staff (Liz) made me feel like not even wanting to go back.

Dr. Christiano is a nice doctor who genuinely cares for his patients. However, we have has multiple experiences where he misdiaganosed issues, and this led us to change physicians. In one instance, on a return visit for the same issue, he told my wife that the pain in her foot was plantar fasciitis. My wife asked him to check with x-rays and he refused. We went home, checked Web MD and the symptoms were so far off from what my wife reported to the doctor that she got another opinion. This time the doctor took x-rays and found a broken bone in her foot, and initiated treatment that she should have had months earlier. Instead, the bad diagnosis--and worse, refusal to check with x-rays--led to months of unnecessary suffering by my wife. I also had a bad diagnosis experience with him. Bottom line: nice guy, but cannot be trusted to diagnose properly.

Overall he is a good Doc and I am fussy as i do medical research and lean heavily to alternative over regular allopathethic. Doc C is fine w/ that and respectful. He is also considered good by his peers and he is a really nice man. His 1 drawbcak is he tries to keep on schedule for the patients sake which is great except for when you want to talk more ..but he is very smart and can get a lot said and heard and understood in a short time.he is good.
