Dr. Peter Kemoni Chweyah, MD

After seeing one the best doctors at the Fridley Clinic for years, I have had bad experiences since that doctor left. While Dr. Chweyah is a nice man, he has ignored multiple requests for information regarding tests and medications. Important follow up to get medications adjusted has also been treated in a relaxed manner, often taking multiple phone calls to the clinic requesting help. Generally, it takes an emergency for this doctor to take action. Unless you are just going in for a well check (with no medical issues) and want to see a nice, laid back, kind doctor, I’d highly recommend seeing someone else. One of his team nurses actually gave me incorrect information about a medical condition. Dr. Chweyah often has same day appointments available...not the best indicator for the A team in the practice.

It was my first visit with him and it was like I’ve met him before. He’s a very likeable guy, helped me understand my health concerns, and wasn’t a get in get out type of doctor. Sense of humor too!

I have seen this doctor on a number of visits, and NOTHING gets fixed. I have chronic back and knee issues that never get better. And I am tired of living with pain. This doctor is great for drugs if that is the way you want to go. And if you have pain, remember he will try to put you on depression pills, YUP! that will work!! NOT!!!!!!!!!! The dumbest doctor yet! And When you go to see him, one thing at a time, he wants repeat visits. Just something to think about before you go!
