Dr. Peter Deri, PhD

The amount of knowledge and experience, Dr. Deri has I have not come across in other psychologist. He knows how to help you how to help your child and he does it with a caring, gentle approach. He doesn’t need to hit you between the eyes to get his point across and help you see things in a different way. Clearly I don’t know what I would’ve done without his help and support. He’s made a very big difference in my child’s life and in my family‘s life I owe him a huge amount of gratitude for being able to help us during any crisis sometimes small sometimes big. I would highly recommend him to anyone having an issue with their child individually or as a family. It is very hard in today’s world to find dedicated and caring doctors. I’m so lucky to have found him years ago.

I am mystified by this other parent's review. Maybe Dr Deri, who has 50+ years experience working with kids & parents, he's really insightful and knowledgeable,... maybe he said something she/he didn't want to hear. Or maybe s/he didn't get his sense of humor. Anyways I thought he was great at connecting & communicating with my "difficult kid" .. helping my son understand his struggles and learn to express his frustrations in less self-destructive ways. Dr Deri was also very reassuring & compassionate to me about my anxieties & some less-than-stellar parenting moments, and always returned my panicked phonecalls between sessions. I highly recommend him.

Dr Derri is not in touch with reality. He will make your child feel entertained but against his parents. How does that help your family ?
