If you require Mohs Surgery and referred to Dr. Ehrnstrom, request a consult first, to know your healing options so your not surprised by scars that will never go away. This Dr otherwise will rush you in, take a big piece of tissue with no regard to scaring. Mohs should be done carefully with small pieces of tissue at a time, to ensure you don’t lose more skin and tissue than needed. Even his nurses said, he gets it all the 1st time, 90% of the time (rushed). Nevertheless, also consider other practitioners who provide more thoughtful care. You don’t want to spend upwards of $3k to have a scar that last a lifetime for non life threatening lesion!

I hand picked Dr. Ehrnstrom based on his education and patient reviews. I have approx. 17+ year history with various dermatologist is various states. My appointment with Dr. Ehrnstrom was 4 months out because of how booked up he gets. I waited patiently because I knew based on everything I read about him he was well worth it. I have actinic keratosis on my face and have had basil cell carcinoma on my neck. I have been getting aggressive cryotherapy done on my face that have left scars. I had my appointment with Dr. Ehrnstrom just the other day and I must say everything I read about him is true, he is compassionate, caring, he has a good bed side manner and a great listener, but better yet, he really made me feel I was in good hands. I told him about a spot on my face other dermatologist have been ignoring for along time, but this spot however was here one day and gone a few days later up until the last 2 months or so. The doc took a close look at it and decided to take a… biopsy of it and send it to path. The doc was delicate and gentle with the shot and so very quick with getting the specimen. I've had this done on my face and neck 2 other times with 2 other docs and I will say Dr. Ehrnstrom seemed to be the most talented at it. He was done almost before I could blink my eyes, and he DIDN'T make it ugly, its a perfect looking biopsy. Then he told me how to take care of it to help prevent scarring. The time waiting for an appointment for him was well worth it, especially knowing what I have gone through with other dermatologist. I recommend Dr. Ehrnstrom to anyone that doesn't mind waiting awhile to see him, because after 17+ years with derm docs he is well worth the wait in all categories.

I have brought my husband and my daughter to see Dr. Ehronstrom. I would never take anyone in my family to see another dermatologist! I recommend him to everyone I know.

I had basal cell carcinoma on my right cheek near my ear and Dr. Ehrnstrom removed it over a year ago. He is fast,efficient, professional and very skilled at his Art. I would ask him in a heartbeat to help me if I ever have to face cancer again. The only complaint I have is that his office is so busy it takes months to get an appointment; good for the office, not so good for the patients. These people have been my practitioners for over a decade and I can highly recommend them to anyone wanting good care.They are worth your patience.
