Dr. Peter Karl Gerritz, MD

I had Dr. Gerritz assigned to me by Kaiser after a very traumatic incident. After two conversations it was obvious he was not interested on listening to my narrative of symptoms, and had his own ego and agenda. It was obvious he only cared about getting my back to work ASAP. I ended up only seeing my family doctor because she is the only one i found trustworthy, however, Dr. Gerritz has a lot of power, and if you're in a position of having to deal with disability insurance and other legal matters, he might have his agenda already made, and not be interested in listening or helping you. He is a disgrace as a doctor, and Kaiser might be complicit.

One of he worst experiences after having been in a traumatic accident. Dr. Gerritz has trouble with listening to the patient, keeping his ego in check, and finding ways to work with the patient to figure out together what the best course of action is in coordination with the patients needs, feelings and beliefs.

Dr. Gerritz is a credit to Kaiser, and an embarrassment to his profession. Kaiser is a for-profit insurance company masquerading as a non-profit health provider. They practice annual profit sharing with "made" physicians. They get sued for institutional malpractice and settle for millions - without admission of guilt - and continue to make billions with business as usual: with "poster boy" medical bureaucrats like Dr. Gerritz leading the way. If you "feel lucky" maybe he will chose to help you. Good luck. You will need it!

Dr. Gerritz is my physical medicine doctor and I am very thankful to be his patient. He is a great listener, providing clear communication and compassionate care.

Dr. Gerritz is an arrogant, know-it-all meanie. I went to him last year for chronic back pain. Instead of focusing on the back pain, he focused on my mental health, making me feel like my back pain was all in my head. Now I guess the joke's on him. I had a successful fusion surgery about a month ago and am almost pain free. He doesn't listen, doesn't let you talk, doesn't think of alternatives and thinks he is God's gift to doctors. Not a good experience and NOT a nice person.

Peter Gerritz was disrespectful and completely lacked compassion for my disability. He was agitated, impatient, interrupted constantly, and did not pay any attention to what the experienced and respected referring doctor diagnosed me with. He clearly needs more training because he lacks common knowledge. He can't be trusted with your medical record and has no social skills that are essential for physicians. He is NOT on the cutting edge of anything other than how to do harm to patients.

After a car accident several years ago I have suffered chronic pain, spinal injuries and nerve compression. I was told by multiple doctors that I would be confined to a wheel chair for years. I have had two surgeries to correct this issue which were not effective. Dr. Gerritz was compassionate and thoroughly reviewed my long medical history. He recommended holistic treatments (mind based stress reduction, acupuncture, PT etc). The difference was subtle at first but within eight months I took my first unassisted steps. The progress is slow, but I am continuing to gain more mobility. I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Gerritz - he is young, energetic, and on the cutting edge of new advances pain treatment
