Dr. Peter Halford, MD

Dr. Halford saved the lives of both my parents. They trusted him implicitly and so do my husband and I. At one point, he refused to operate on my (80+) Mom because he thought she was too weak. He managed her condition in other ways. Only when she recovered quickly from a bout with pneumonia, did he decide to go ahead and he cured a condition that had plagued her for years! There is no finer surgeon around. Dr. Halford is not only a brilliant surgeon, but a compassionate human being and a gentleman. Big clue: the Nurses trust him.

Dr. Halford makes an outstanding impression. I have been to see him twice. His name was given to me by my primary care physician. Each time I went in convinced I needed surgery. Each time after examination Dr. Halford assured me that I was fine and did not need surgery. Surgeons I have seen in the past have been quick to recommend surgery. Dr. Halford is informative and patient. He explained what he found during my exam. I would not hesitate to return to see him and recommend him to others.

He is so outdated, he needs to retire. Unfortunately, he pays more in alimony than most of us pay in taxes. Pray that he doesn't beguile you with his 1960's surgical technique.

Dr. Halford is a surgeon's surgeon. He was Chief of Surgery and Chief of Staff at Queen's Hospital and his father, Dr. John Halford, was also a surgeon and a key figure in Queen's history. Dr. Halford saved my life a few yrs ago and from the moment I met him I trusted him completely. He's straightfoward, professional, and as a previous rate-er said, has no airs about him for such an esteemed man. A very brilliant, skilled, and caring surgeon.

Very plesant personality for a big shot doctor. No airs about him. Waiting time in his office is under 5 minutes. Very competent secretary. Dr. Halford makes major surgery a breeze; also nothing ever gets infected because he loves his "sterile field". Spends alot of time with you before, during and after surgery. His skills are beyond reproach.
