Dr. Peter Andrew Hilger, MD

Not a day goes by that I don't regret going to Dr. Hilger for nose surgery. It is functionally and aesthetically much worse than before. He didn't listen to direction in consultation, and manipulated the tip of my nose, left a huge bump on the left side, and collapse on the right side. His only response to my concerns were "light can be showy". I would seek another doctor with up to date technology and practices.

Dr Hilger recently did an upper bleph (incl a brow lift) procedure on 3 family members, one of whom is a doctor and flew in from out of state because of his great reputation. We are all VERY pleased with our results. His surgical staff love working with him and that was important to us as well. Due to his many years of surgical experience he gets some of the toughest facial reconstruction cases (referrals from docs) so the fact he is rated highly is testimony to his excellent work. He has a very busy practice though, so plan ahead!

I had surgery years ago, and my nose used to be better cosmetically and functionally. Dr. Hilger took it upon himself to add something I didn't want to the tip of my nose, after I specifically said not to in the consultation. Unfortunately, he didn't speak to me before the surgery and made the decision himself, which ruined the appearance of my nose. Also, I'm still not able to breathe out of the right side and it feels like there is constantly something inside of it. They don't have the technology to compete with today's surgeons, they send hard copies of digital photos, and you can't even pay online. Every follow up I've tried to bring it up, and he just makes comments like it looks good and more symmetrical even though I can clearly see it's not. One time he told me, "light can be showy". He doesn't accept he did a bad job. Seek other opinions, there are better doctors.

Hello, My name is Samantha and this is my experience with Dr. Hilger and Facial Plastic surgery., Back in 2001, I broke my nose in basketball. I had an open reduction of my nasal fracture. As the years followed, I had significant obstruction of airway and my entire septum had shifted to the right. I also had a nose piercing which caused the left side my nasal bone to depress inward which brought on many insecurities with how I looked considering both of these things going on at the same time. I did my research and read so much about Dr. Hilger specializing in revision rhinoplasties and just knew he was the one to help me. I am now 16 days post op and even tho I have a little swelling left, which is completely normal, I am loving the results of my new nose. My nose is straight and my nostril is no longer caved in. I can look in the mirror and feel so pleased with how I look and the results. Dr. Hilger and Dr. Kelts are the most comforting, well trained, highly educated, delightful… physicians I have ever met and did a wonderful job repairing my crooked nose. His secretary/assistant Lin was also comforting and helpful in answering questions and just being there for me when I was nervous about the whole procedure. I know this was the best decision of my life chosing Dr. Hilger and his staff and would recommend Facial Plastic Surgery to everyone. I cant thank them enough and want to Thank each of them individually for changing my life and making this the best possible experience for me. THANK YOU!!!!

Dr Hilger is phenomenal. He took on my reconstructive septo-rhinoplasty following a serious injury. I had multiple past surgeries on my nose which made things very complicated (scar tissue and little original structure to work with). A 1.5 hour surgery became a 4 hour reconstruction with donor cartilage grafts. I am so very grateful to him for helping me. Being board certified in facial plastics and ENT coupled with decades of experience makes him second to none in this area. Highest recommendation possible. Thank you.

Dr. Hilger, and his staff were Awesome. I had Mohs surgery done at another facility for some cancer I had by my eye. It was so close to my eye that I thought I would have to have major surgery to repair. Dr. Hilger was able to avoid my tear ducts and repair the damage that was done by the Moh's surgery. I am amazed and thankful that no one can tell that I had cancer or surgery. . I would highly recommend Dr. Hilger.

Dr Hiler is a fantastic surgeon!!! He is the only Dr. that will ever touch my face!! I am thrilled with how my surgery turned out!! He explained every thing in detail, was warm and very caring! I have recommended him to all my friends and family and even strangers!! He ROCKS!!
