Dr. Peter Osborne Holliday, MD

Since my other review disappeared, I’ll recap. I had a fusion. Post op, I knew something was wrong. I was in worse pain than before and the pain was widespread; no longer localized. I called his office and he would not speak to me. Finally, he returned my call and yelled at me. He would not listen to anything I had to say, but was insistent that surgery was successful. It was bizarre and disheartening. My life changed forever from that day forward. I have learned to deal with the pain, and I live with it every single day. I never went back.

I wish I could give negative stars. I went in to have a one level fusion. I came out of surgery in much worse pain than before. He would not even communicate with me post op. His nurse, now wife, just apologized and said he had not been on his best behavior. Since then I have learned to live with the pain that I was left with as a result of said surgery. Do yourself a favor and go to someone else.

Unwilling to come in room to discuss your condition and staff have you waiting for almost hour and half. It was attitude and behavior of doctor and the staff which I felt to be bias toward black people. Whole different attitude with both of my co-workers who received service from this doctor. Any black person should not go to this doctor. undercover racist.

Dr. Holliday is everything you want a surgeon to be. You might have to wait for awhile to see him, but that is because he takes time with each patient. So the patient knows what is happening and going to happen. When you are the patient with Dr. Holliday you are glad he spends time with you. Dr. Holliday is very skilled and very meticulous of what he does and wants you to do as well. After all you want the best and so does Dr. Holliday! When my wife developed neck problems we again turned to Dr. Holliday. She received the same top notched care that I had received. I will and have refered others to Dr. Holliday. In my humble opinion, he is great.

Dr. Holiday and his staff have been very helpful in the new finding to a malformation that has caused me a lot of trouble. He definitely explains everything and spends a lot of time with you, which probably explains the wait times. I'd rather wait long for a good DR. He is soon about to do a surgery on me, and as I am very nervous, I trust him and his office.

A really bad experience with Mr Holliday will never go back.

Everything takes time but to sit there waiting for hours, not just an hour and then be seen for about ten minutes at best is slack at best and serious over booking for bucks at worst. Dr. Holiday was very nice prior to surgery, but on follow ups he was rude, short and basically money paid, don't have time for you now. Wouldn't recommend him to anyone! Be prepared for others to make excuses for him.

Anyone that thinks Dr. Holliday is rude and cold is obviously not following his directions for post op recovery. Dr. Holliday AND his staff are top notch and very professional in the way that they carry out their duties. Yes Dr, Holliday is demanding and meticulous as to how he wants things done and if you listen to him rather than wear your thin skinned "I think I know it all attitude suit" you will be fine. If you want mediocre go some where else and let them tell you what you want to hear. If you want the best then Dr. Holliday is the physician for you, he tells you what you need to do to get better and IMHO there is no better neurosurgeon in the southeast.

I have had lower back surgery by Dr. Holiday and my experience has been really good with him. He explained everything before hand and what to expect afterwards. Pain was taken of after L4-L5 disk repair. I have also been diagnosed with spinal stenosis and will have that performed by him also. He also has explained all of this in plain, simple terms that I could very easily understand. Thanks Dr. Holiday.

I used Dr. Holliday for substantial back surgery. The surgery worked out well and I certainly give credit to Coliseum Northside Hospital for their excellent patient care. Dr Holliday however is initially nice after waiting hours to see him, (expect no apology). After surgery, he doesn't care, doesn't want to see you, and if he does be careful. He has no problem being rude, insulting or just a jerk. His staff makes excuses for him, hard day, etc., but there is no excuse for this man. Be warned you are dealing with a Jekyll and Hyde doctor who needs some serious anger management help.
