Dr. Peter Hon, MD

After months of delayed diagnosis and suffering in CT, we decided to go find the best. Our search brought us Dr Hon. He was thorough, bold, and confident. To say we were reassured would be an understatement. He left my husband with zero margin and coached him for 6 weeks of the healing process. He is attentive, responds quickly and is generally a stellar surgeon. Five out five stars. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I like the fact that he was very honest & straight forward . He explained everything and gave time for questions. Everything went the way he said it would and I was able to go home the same day.

I had an anal abscess and an anal fistula. Dr. Hon was great at explaining what was going on, and what he was going to do to correct it. It was a painful, embarrassing problem, but Dr. Hon made me feel comfortable about the procedure. He was good about follow up. Very caring, cordial, good sense of humor in a situation where humor helped a lot.

I had a surgery in the past with another surgeon. Dr. Hon was fabulous. He took his time to explain my options. He did not rush me and was very empathetic. He cares of my and my family's concerns. He did it and I am still here. Awesome!

Dr. Hon met me at emergency room where he questioned me and consulted with gastroenterologists to determine the best treatment for me. Following the emergency surgery, Dr. Hon answered every question we asked with patience and poise. Post -op, he spoke to me whenever I called. He and his associate, Dr. Aronoff, have a wonderful bedside manner, but more importantly, they know their business.

I was quite nervous prior to my recent visit with Dr. Hon as I'd never before been to a proctologist and didn't really know what to expect. During the visit, my fears were quickly assuaged by Dr. Hon's easygoing nature and patience in explaining exactly what his examination would entail. After he finished, we had a frank discussion about the various pros and cons to different treatment options, and he willingly answered all of my questions that I thought were stupid but actually helped me make a more informed decision. I'd obviously never want to have to see a proctologist again, but if I did, this visit would give me much greater peace of mind in returning.
