Dr. Peter Ted Hsin, MD

When I first starting seeing Dr. Hsin he was very helpful. When I discussed issues with my Mother he told me he couldn't help me and don't bring her up in conversation again. I have severe insomnia and was usually running late. During one appointment he says you already told me that why do you keep repeating yourself. When I asked him about time released ADHD meds he asked me why was I asking him about that, I was taking those meds and I was going to make him late for his next appointment.

Don't go there! He's arrogant and aggressive. Also, his office is filthy. Told him I needed to get off SSRI, as it wasn't working anymore. Insisted I stay on the SSRI, declared me "bi-ppolar" and insisted I go on a mood stabilizer. Got TD as a result - kept falling all over. My salt level dropped from the SSRI, and I ended up in an ER. He never took a simple blood test, which would have avoided it all. He just took his best guess as to my condition. He also said I was "the most inturruptive person he's ever met" and told me to keep my answers to "yes" "or "no". I'm off all drugs now and have never felt more at peace. You've been warned.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hsin for over a decade. During that time, Dr. Hsin has been the most responsive and adaptable health care provider I have ever worked with. Whenever I have needed assistance or have had questions, he has been extremely responsive in getting back to me via text and/or email. I have been his patient for over a decade now and owe so much of my mental, physical, and professional well-being to his help and support.

Dr. Hsin is an extremely cold and unprofessional psychiatrist.

Do not see this doctor. I arrived to find him aggressive, unbalanced, unprofessional. He refused me care because I informed him that I had emailed his office my insurance card and he would not wait for me to pull it up on my card. I felt threatened by his aggressive behavior and plan to report him to his governing medical body. I do not think he should be in practice given how unstable he is.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hsin for the last couple years and have nothing but good things to say. He is extremely compassionate, has never been degrading, allows you to choose your path with appropriate guidance. Every session I leave feeling better, better about myself and my mental health. It is great to have a doctor who is just as happy with your progress as you are.

Dr Hsin is on the cutting edge of knowledge and is also a very nice person. I highly recommend him.

This provider is not only unethical, but also dangerous to those that are in a precarious state emotionally. When I expressed concern at Mr. Hsin’s lack of professional behavior and abusive language he asked me to leave his office and slammed the door in my face. This is surely unethical behavior for a physician charged with caring for patients recovering from traumatic experience and seeking help with psychiatric matters. My experience with Mr. Hsin, through the several visits I made to his office left me feeling that: he was cold; perhaps not even listening to me as he furiously typed away on the various computers, which were always open and sitting on his desk between him and the patient's seat; and prone to giving flip and unhelpful responses to serious and sincere questions. While his behavior at my last appointment was more alarming, unprofessional and unethical than what I had experienced with him before, it was in keeping with my experience with him generally. Through his way… of interacting he attempts to remove the dignity of patients and demonstrates extreme insensitivity to their psychological wellbeing. This person should likely not be practicing psychiatric medicine. Please be careful.

I saw Dr Hsin for years, traveled quite far to see him, and was frequently scolded, never greeted with a smile, and feel I was not treated with respect as a patient. He has very little personality as a compassionate doctor and I would recommend going elsewhere if you do not want to deal with his outsources scheduling in India and his unfriendly demeanor. There are much friendlier provider out there!
