Dr. Peter Pinging Huang, MD

I had heard good things about Dr. Huang, and have worked in healthcare for a long time. I went for a surgical consult and was essentially made to feel like a hypochondriac. I have known tumors that have grown considerably in size, and are painful with any compression, including simply sitting at my desk at work for any period of time. He stated that he "could certainly take them out, but is concerned that he would not be able to distinguish them from any surrounding tissue." I will be finding a surgeon who is confident that they can tell the difference between a benign tumorous growth and normal bone, fat, and connective tissue.

I suffer from Diverticulitis and experienced a rupture in my intestine. I was admitted to the hospital and put on antibiotics. After a few days it was determined that my intestine was badly damaged and I was given a loop ostomy before being released from the hospital. Subsequent imagining showed even greater damage in the form of fistulas connected to my intestine and bladder wall. The surgeon who put my ostomy in place was great but said she would have to refer me out to a specialist if there was any hope of having my ostomy reversed. Peter Huang was that specialist. He is just terrific! I appreciate his very calm demeanor and professional comportment. I have been told by other doctors and nurses that, "I am lucky to have him as a surgeon. He is excellent." Since I am not a doctor myself, I was very pleased that his peer reviews were as good as my layperson opinion. He has taken very good care of me so far. Alas, my second surgery was so complicated that my ostomy could not be… reversed at that time. I will be seeing Dr. Huang in two days for the final surgery and I can not wait. I know that I am in excellent hands!
