Horrible, just horrible

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I just received a bill from this place for services rendered over a year ago. I called before making an appointment to make sure my insurance was accepted here, they said yes. My experience was below sub par, I came in to have an irregular type mole with scar tissue removed on which I was told could not be done as they did not recommend it. I also mentioned another bump and after review from the dermatologist, it was an ingrown hair which she popped. To my surprise this costs $325, compete joke. Now they are coming to me saying I owe this amount now because my insurance refused the claim. The only reason my insurance would refuse this claim is if they filed it wrong, they filed it late, or they lied to me about taking my coverage to make a quick buck. This place is a complete scam. DO NOT COME HERE!!!!

I appreciate that Dr. Karlsburg was not happy until I was happy and listened to my wishes .And I'm happy with the filler and botox around my lips and chin.I will go back because he took the time.

I've been here twice with a third appointment upcoming. Michelle has taken great care of me both times I was there. She is caring and pleasant. She made me feel comfortable under a very stressful situation. All the employees there are pleasant and professional

Nice Doctor. But he can make mistakes, and is too anxious to do cosmetic dermatology. Recommended, with reservations.

I was very impressed with Dr. Karlsberg. He treated my son's problem the same day as the consult, he was very personable and answered all questions we had. I would highly recommend him

I strongly recommend going to a different doctor. I have gone to this office twice and was misdiagnosed and spent money buying a product to treat something i did not even have. Then I went back and they told me it was not what they originally thought so I had to spend more money and go buy the right product. On top of this they do not call in your prescriptions to pharamacies when they say they will and make you wait and do not call you back. They have horrible service and are not very organzied

Does not spend time doing thorough exam for skin cancer.

Dr. Karlsberg saved our daughter from permanent disability. He quite possibly saved her life. Our 6 year old daughter developed what appeared to be a skin rash that covered her face and began spreading to her chest arms and legs. Our family doctor, who is quite good, diagnosed her with a virus and basically just told us to let it run its course. The symptoms got worse and she began complaining about muscle pain. She became weak to the point where she could not get out of the car by herself. The whole time her doctor just kept telling us it was a virus or eczema and not serious. I called Dr. Karlsberg's office and explained the symptoms. His staff relayed the message while I was on the phone. He told the receptionist to have us bring her in that minute. We walked into a full waiting room. They took us back right away and Dr. Karlsberg came out and examined her on the spot. He said he did not know what is was but that it was clearly serious. He then told his staff to inform his waiting… patients that he had an emergency and the wait would be a little longer. He sat there and researched the symptoms pouring over journal after journal while everyone waited. After about half an hour he said that she had a rare disease called Juvenile Dermatomyositis. He then scheduled her to be examined at a meeting of over 20 dermatologists that evening. All agreed that this must be what she had even though none had ever seen a case of it. With that we were able to take her to the Rheumatology department of Childrens Hospital bypassing what we were told would be weeks of testing and waiting. The head of the Rheumatology department took one look at here and admitted her into the hospital on the spot where she spent several months of intensive treatment. The head of the department told us that this disease is very fast in its progression and is so rare that it is very often misdiagnosed. He said that by the time the children get to him the disease has often caused permanent, debilitating muscle damage. In some cases its too late to save the childs life. When we told him that she had been diagnosed by a dermatologist he was amazed, stating that they always mistake the disease for eczema leading do delays in proper diagnosis and treatment. He said that the dermatologist that diagnosed her must be one in a million in his field. Thats the story. Without Dr. Karlsberg our daughter would not be leading a normal life now. When you are being treated by Dr. Karlsberg you are in the best possible hands.
