Dr. Peter Thomas Kropf

My baby was not going to make it and we were referred here to get a D&E. Years later and I can honestly say that my experience at this office with this doctor still haunts me. He was kind to me at the beginning of the appointment then afterward, suddenly, he was cruel and shaming. His behavior was very confusing and I still haven’t made sense of it.

Everybody was very kind and caring since the receptionist to the doctors. The doctor educated me that he did not recommend the pill because it's dangerous to abort in pieces, or sudden by myself and not know where and when plus the heavy bleeding and huge infection risk it involved. Also he recommended that the early curettage was also too risky and I needed to wait a little longer for my own safety so the egg was more formed and detectable. I followed his advice. I went by myself. I had nobody to drive me home so no sedation and I had an almost painless procedure that's how good they are. And the nurse was holding my hand the whole time.

I am so grateful to Dr. Peter Kropf and his wife, Dr. Beth Kropf. Both are amazing and understanding doctors. They are very caring with their patients. Their receptionist is a wonderful young lady. I can't believe how lucky I was to find this office that has a caring feel and a personalized experience. No assembly line here. I highly recommend this doctor and the staff.

I couldn't have asked for a better doctor while going through such a rough experience. Dr. Kropf made me feel extremely comfortable and took away all my fear about the procedure itself. His wife, Dr. Beth Kropf was also amazing. Great staff and great practice.

I am beside myself on what I just experienced. I have never met such a cold heartless person before and I hope I never do. This is the last person I would ever recommend anyone in an abortion type of situation going to! I brought my little one to my appointment to discuss options of my current pregnancy and he not only screamed at his staff and was absolutely disrespectful to his receptionist, he looked at me while I was filling out paperwork and yelled at me "to get the **** out of his office in 20 seconds with my child, and to go to planned parent hood if I was looking to get the pill. I was in shock, humiliated and left that office so fast, I was shaking the whole way home. It was everything horrible and degrading you could imagine this situation of being. So mortified it came from the person performing the procedures. He also would rather you wait longer in a pregnancy to perform an operation then to terminate a few weeks into a pregnancy with a pill. I hope that anyone else… looking to make a decision like this goes to someone much more professional and most important sincere to your feelings as a human being! There are other places in Austin that will treat you with respect, do not settle for this doctor!

Dr.Kropf was instrumental in my coping during this loss. I cannot say enough praise for this man who spent over two hours answering my concerns and questions just to let you know, as a nurse, my concerns were not medical, but mostly psychosocial ones that he aptly answered with ease.

He is not just an excellent doctor but also a very human and caring person. My husband and I decided to terminate the pregnancy due to a very serious genetic condition that the baby had and Dr. Kropf made the experience the less painful as possible. Dr. Beth Kropf also deserves a lot of the credit for that. I'm glad they were my doctors in this very difficult time.
