Dr. Peter Richard Kurzweil, MD

Dr. Kurzweil is an excellent surgeon. Had 2 knee replacement surgery which turned out well. The problem is his promptness in office visits. Our average wait time has been about an hour and sometimes more. At the last Post-Op Follow Up Visit (after waiting over an hour) only his Physician Assistant met with me.....didn't even see Dr. Kurzweil after over an hour wait. When I asked the Physician Assistant if there is any way to know if the office appt. is running late. He said "No" and further responded that it is typical for an office to run this late.....not a good answer. This tells me that the Office will not look for solutions to unnecessary lateness, especially since on my last post operation visit, Dr. Kurzweil did not even see me after more than an hour wait! Also, shouldn't the doctor at least pop in and see me during post operation follow ups......even if for a moment?

I was a patient of Dr. Kurzwei for many years. Had my knee replaced and had pain several months later after recovery. I went to see him 4 different times in a year for this problem. He never investigated the reason for the pain,. It is now 18 months later and I still have pain. Will be seeing a new doctor. Don't expect Dr. Kurzwei to help you with problems post surgery.

Dr. Peter Kurzweil, you are to me a "miracle worker"! Thanks so much to you and PA Carlos and staff for your excellent professional services yesterday. The treatment (injection) was affective! Walking around my neighborhood today, there was none of the usual discomfort I was feeling before my visit yesterday. Thank you!

Dr Kurzweil has treated me for 5 conditions over 4 years, 2 that needed surgery. I had seen other Orthopedic Drs who left me in pain with no help because the condition did not immediately include surgery. I recovered from rotator cuff surgery in a remarkable timeframe with minimal pain. I credit the Dr's skill for this exceptional recovery. I find the Dr's sense of humor a huge help in painful (stressful) situations. I would recommend him to anyone on all counts.

I have been to 3 different orthopedic doctors and Dr. Kurzweil has been the best. He spends a lot of time with me at each visit and has been excellent about suggesting treatment options for my knee.

-Poor Bedside manner-Not very sports oriented as far as return to play and rehab suggestions-Needs to have a better attitude and spend more time with patients. Makes me feel like patients are wasting his time.
