Dr. Peter Matthew Lake, MD

Peter M. Lake, MD, is a board-certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist and is the medical director of Rogers Memorial Hospital-Oconomowoc, Child and Adolescent Services-Oconomowoc and the Child and Adolescent Center.

Dr. Lake has been in private practice since 1991, serving as vice chairman in the Department of Psychiatry at Physicians Plus Medical Group, S.C.; and associate medical director for Physicians Plus Mental Health Case Management and Consultation System, Madison until the fall of 1999. He was also an associate clinical professor at the University of Wisconsin Medical School. Currently, Dr. Lake practices full time at Rogers.

Dr. Lake's clinical area of interest includes early childhood development, attachment disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), childhood depression and anxiety disorders, medication management, and individual psychotherapy and family therapy. He is a frequent lecturer and consultant to school districts, social service …agencies, and case management systems.

Dr. Lake received his medical degree from the University of Iowa. He completed his residency in adult psychiatry and fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He was the recipient of the 1989 Marc C. Hollender M.D. Award for Outstanding Performance by a Psychiatric Resident, Vanderbilt University, Department of Psychiatry; and 1982 Superior Academic Achievement Award, Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, where he completed his undergraduate degree.
