Dr. Peter H Lam

Dr. Lam was born and raised in one of the most fascinating metropolitan cities in the world - Hong Kong. He finished high school there, after which he came to the United States to pursue college education. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular and Cell Biology at the University of California at Berkeley. He graduated top 5% of the class and earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree at the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF). Having decided to specialize in Orthodontics, Dr Lam received another 3 years of training and earned his Masters Degree at University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC).
While at UIC, Dr Lam has done extensive research on mandibular asymmetry and tomography of the temporo-mandibular joints. His papers are published in the American Journal of Orthodontics/Dentofacial Orthopedics and the Journal of Dental Research. Dr. Lam is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontics and the California Dental …Association. Dr. Lam has gained extensive experience participating in a group practice for the past 9 years.
Dr. Lam is a devout Christian and actively serves in different ministries at church. He is also involved in a variety of community services from coordinating local health seminars to going on mission trips to Vietnam and China offering dental services to the underprivileged.
Dr. Lam speaks fluent Cantonese and enjoys practicing in a city with great cultural diversity. He enjoys various sports including skiing, badminton, tennis and, above all, golf in which he carries an 11-handicap.
Dr Lam is married to Carol and has 2 beautiful twin daughters, Gabrielle and Kaela.
