Dr. Peter R Langan, MD

I made an appointment to see Dr. Langan. When I arrived, the NYU Langone office staff was insufferable. Check-in required use of a filthy, germ infested touch screen computer. Then they demanded my photo ID even though they never said that was a requirement for an office visit. It had never been a requirement when I had seen another doctor in the practice. The touch screen computer required me to acknowledge receipt of a HIPPA notice, but I was not permitted to read the notice of get a copy. When I complained, a woman who claimed to be the manager, said that this was "procedure." she said that her name was Gloria Magen but didn't show an ID card and called the police. I don't know anything about Dr. Langan, but I wouldn't use any doctor who worked for an outfilt like this.

Dr. Langan performed the surgery to replace my hip but before immediately scheduling the surgery he first had me go through physical therapy to try to help me to avoid the surgery for as long as possible. I greatly appreciated this approach. The final surgery was a complete success.

He truly has a condescending attitude which is quite shocking considering his profession. He give the impression that he in approaching retirement.

With his experience, Dr. Langan can pretty much look at whats wrong and using a minimum amount of tests, diagnose the problem and give realistic solutions. He took care of very serious problems 3 times for me and was always on the mark. He cares for his patients and has the last of the old time bedside manner. I highly recommend him.
