This past summer, I was at the end of my rope, facing a third surgery on my right eye due to uncontrolled pressure from Glaucoma. 7 years after my first surgery and just over a year after a failed 2nd surgery, I didn't know what to do or who to turn to for help. A Glaucoma surgeon in California suggested I see Dr Libre. I called his office and he happened to be off that day. His office staff gave me a number to call and assured me he would return my call, which is unheard of in my past experiences with Glaucoma docs. Well, not only did Dr Libre answer the phone, he spent 20 minutes on the phone with me suggesting what I could try and offering to see me ASAP. I had an immediate feeling of trust with, and confidence in, this doctor, so I scheduled an immediate appointment, even though that meant driving 415 miles to see him. Dr Libre performed a needling procedure that I've asked other eye docs to do, but that they said wouldn't work. Not only did it work, but my pressure is absolutely… perfect in my right eye, something that all the other eye docs I saw couldn't achieve. Dr Libre is a kind, caring eye doctor with a wonderful bedside manner and, most importantly, a wonderfully skilled surgeon that saved my eyesight. I can't say enough about him or thank him enough for the gift of continued sight he has granted me. I would tell anyone willing to listen to see this great eye doc if you want quality care from a compassionate, caring and skilled Glaucoma surgeon. It's rare to find the qualities Dr Libre possesses in ANY doctor. He's been in practice for over 30 years and you will not find a better Glaucoma doctor.

Dr Libre is the best. He will do whatever it takes to minimize the effects of glaucoma. When my IOP spiked he immediately scheduled next day vision saving surgery.

The visit took over two hours. Testing is primitive with framed E charts to read to unlicensed young people who hold open curtain to light up the area. Saw doctor for five minutes. Still waiting for dilation. Hard to say how good the doctor is. My sense is that if you don’t have glaucoma you’re better off at pearl vision or Costco optical.

I have been seeing Doctor Libre for about 5 years and have recently had cataract surgery which I had been delaying. He never pushed me to have it done, but rather was supportive and understanding of my concerns. I greatly appreciated that! For the first time, since I was 9 years old, my distance vision is quite remarkable. I now drive without glasses! I am super pleased with the result and the care Dr. Libre provided.

After accepting my appointment for an eye exam, Dr. Libre was reported "missing" that afternoon. Instead, he sent me a cohort of assistants. He later apologized after being cut at his unprofessional "game." Had very impression of him as Doctor.

Dr. Libre and his staff are all wonderful caring people. Everyone explained the procedures to me so that I did not have any anxiety. The staff is so friendly and comforting. I felt like I was visiting a relative. Dr. Libre listened to me, helped relieve my fears and explained what was going on and what I could expect. He was patient, caring and thorough. I have rarely seen such a great mix of staff and physician. Great practice!!
