Dr. Peter Anthony Looby, MD

Dr. Looby explained my MRI results and gave me great information on outcomes for shoulder surgery vs PT only as treatment. Gave me a cortisone shot to help with the pain. He was very attentive to my needs and pain. With his guidance we determined trying PT first was the best option with a return in a month forte-evaluation.

I was there for 2 week post op. Dr. Looby was great. He asked and answered my questions. I have a new knee and at 2 weeks I’m walking normal. I had my other knee done by Dr Looby about 3 years ago. Could not recommend him enough! An awesome surgeon. Everyone else who was involved with my appointment was very kind. My wait was 5 minutes. I am very pleased and will be back for my final appointment in 7 weeks.

I had an appointment with Dr. Looby, but I never actually physically met the good doctor. I only interacted with his PA Guy Sullivan. So with that said, I’m not very impressed with Dr. Looby. If less than 1 star was available I would have gone lower. Now, if I ever actually get to see/interact with Dr. Looby, I would have a better chance to give an honest review.

Dr. Lobby did an excellent job explaining my MRI results. He explained what the issues were and what type of procedure we need to do to fix my knee issues, what recovery will entail, etc… he sat and answered all my questions. Great experience.

I have had Dr. Looby take care of my knees and hips for years now, and have the utmost faith in his skill. He is very personable, easy to understand, and I always walk away, feeling good about his diagnosis. However, the hour wait in the waiting room seemed like forever. Then after Dr. Looby’s visit with us, we ended up waiting. It seemed like forever again for his PA to come and talk to me. We ended up leaving, asking that the PA call, as we really wanted to get back to Pierre before dark. As it was, we still drove in the dark for half an hour. But that will not discourage us from driving back to Sioux Falls for follow up appointments with Dr. Looby. He is simply the best.

I requested Dr.Looby. I’ve had work done by the Dr. before and I was very pleased with how the procedure went and I enjoy the friendly atmosphere he brings. Yes, sometimes there is a wait, but when you’re good at what you do, then you have full days trying to fit everyone and some patients have questions. I was very happy that I was able to get Dr. Looby, he makes you feel like everything will be be alright.

I called for an appointment and was able to be seen the next day!! I was diagnosed and treated the same day as my appt. Very efficient, easy, and so knowledgeable. I am very impressed. with Dr. Looby. He is friendly and makes sure to listen and answer any questions. Great experience.

Dr Looby was thorough, friendly, and very professional. The whole experience was well done and the result was positive.

X-ray techs were wonderful. Nursing staff was thorough in their questions. Dr Looby explained in detail what all of the X-rays showed and how he would like to proceed with treatment for my hips and shoulder. I’m comfortable moving forward with his plans.
