Dr. MacArthur is a board-certified and fellowship-trained primary care sports medicine physician. He has a special interest in the prevention and management of all musculoskeletal and athletic injuries, as well as the use of diagnostic ultrasound, therapeutic platelet-rich plasma, prolotherapy and ultrasound-guided procedures. Dr. MacArthur currently serves as a consulting team physician for the Washington Nationals and as head team physician D.C. United and for the semi-pro ultimate frisbee team, the DC Breeze. Dr. MacArthur became interested in sports medicine because of his own interest in sports and active living. His goal is to help his patients of all ages return to their desired activity level as quickly and safely as possible.

Dr. MacArthur is a warm, caring, and highly professional. It took some work, but the knee pain I had for 5 years is now gone! Outstanding doctor!

I have now seen Dr. MacArthur for two separate injuries over the past few years. He always spends adequate time with me, listens, treats me with respect, and explains the diagnosis very clearly in a way I can understand. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
