Dr. Peter Reeves Mallen

Mid 1980's I was a young woman with chronic uti's. I was sent for a cystoscopy with 'Dr' Mallen. As I waited nervously in the hospital I overheard 2 staff members say "Dr. Mallen is late. He's on his way and he's in a real huff." Just my luck, I thought. Not sure how many characters I have for this review, I could retell in great detail how my procedure went if permitted. It was horrific. At one point, he told me to 'bite the bullet'. The pain was intense. I stood up after it was over and stumbled with dizziness as blood dripped down my thighs onto the floor. I attempted to sit on a toilet to empty my bladder of the liquid that had been put inside and the pain was incredible. It took me until perhaps midnight that same night before I could urinate again. I held it until I could at least get some tylenol 3's prescribed over the phone. I will never forget that day. That is why I remember his name all these years later. I am sorry I did not speak up sooner. Actually I did tell my family… doctor several days later and he was stunned, telling me he would not be referring anyone to him anymore. I hope you read this Peter Mallen. I am seeing a urologist tomorrow for continuing urinary issues. I intend to share this story with her as well.
