I have been privileged to have had Peter in my care for over 20 years! He Has a knack for making you feel like you are his only patient! There is nothing I can say negative about this Dr. He is one in a million! He works with the patient and listens and u derstands that everyone is different and takes that I. And works around that! he is by fa, the most personable, professional and caring dr.my husband and I have ever come in contact with. I would rate him a 10 if I could but I. I opted for resection surgery following over 40 years battling Crohn's. Having never had surgery before, I was nervous and had many questions. Dr Marcello did an excellent job explaining the issues and how he was going to solve them for me. He was thorough and reassuring. His great personality put me at ease, along with his long standing reputation as a master in his field. He came by to check on me following my surgery, even if it was late in the evening. The others he works with at the Lahey i.e. anesthesiologist, nurses were also superb and provided wonderful care. I was very fortunate that my surgery and recovery went exactly as Dr M had described. Overall, I highly recommend Dr M and feel very fortunate that my Gastroenterologist led me to such a fine doctor.

Peter Marcello suggested options and possibilities that were innovative and successful. He is very personable and outgoing, and was most comforting at a time of great personal loss.

Dr Marcello and his staff were the best!! Made myself and my wife very relaxed about upcoming operation. Spent time with us and answered all questions we had. The surgery went just as he told us and the recovery was eneventful. Recommend him higlhly.
