Dr. Peter Mohai, MD

He will lie on medical records while working for MES solution a terrorist organization. He will sell you out an violate his oath , he deserves to be put to death

Mohai sells his "expertise" to the insurance industry for money. He's paid to examine you for your insurance company so that they can kick you off it. It doesn't matter that you paid for your insurance, the insurance company doesn't want to actually provide the services they sell. So they get a doctor like Mohai to give a bogus examination and tell the insurance company what they want to hear and off your insurance you go. And Mohai makes some good money for it, since the insurance company won't pay Mohai unless he does what they want. I thought the Hippocratic oath says 'first do no harm', but for Mohai, his medical ethics allows him to 'first get paid by the insurance companies'. Don't trust Mohai to have your best interest at heart. If he's willing to sell his soul to the insurance companies, how can you trust him to treat you fairly? If I could give him ZERO stars, I would. Caveat Emptor 'let the buyer beware' when dealing with Mohai.

Dr. Mohai quite literally saved my life. I had been suffering from rheumatoid arthritis for about three and a half years, and while I saw multiple rheumies, none could explain what was going on with me. My ANA and RF repeatedly came back negative. It wasn't until my PCP (Dr. Leslie Lu, who is excellent) realized that none of them had done an ESR or CRP test. Yeah, they came back seriously elevated, and Dr. Lu referred me to Dr. Mohai. Dr. Mohai took me seriously, listened (I mean *listened* listened), and prescribed a steroid course to bring the swelling in my extremities down while the lab ran further tests, along with the clinical physical exam that he did. The next visit, I had my diagnosis: Seronegative rheumatoid arthritis. Which basically means I have an autoimmune disorder that does not have the markers associated with one. It's the inflammation levels in my blood, and the symptoms I show, that were the giveaway. The reason I say "saved my life," is because my physical… condition was deteriorating. The swelling in my hands and legs made walking difficult, and it made typing literal agony. I used to raid in World of Warcraft, and there were days I was literally crying playing a video game because my fingers were like sausages and so inflamed that I was playing through tears. I developed fibro at 19 so I'm used to pushing through severe pain. I also had to give up a lot of things that were important to me because I could no longer physically do them. And the thought of having to give even more stuff up that I love, well, I was flat-out suicidal when I made the appt. with Dr. Mohai. I have never been more grateful to a doctor in my entire life. Dr. Mohai is also one of the sweetest, kindest doctors I have had the pleasure of working with. He has the demeanour of a kindly grandfather. I have terrible white coat syndrome when seeing a new doctor, but Dr. Mohai put me at ease immediately. I've seen some 20+ doctors and I have *never* had a doctor that I was so instantly calm and trusting around. And, he absolutely proved that he deserved that trust. My Mom is a nurse, and I'm convinced that she would somehow magically know if I *didn't* involve myself in my own treatment. I keep up with studies and developments on the conditions I have, as much as I can without medical professional access. I am absolutely not a patient that can just do what the doctor says; I need to know *why*. (Apparently, I never grew out of that 5yr old trait.) Dr. Mohai actually appreciated that I kept up with current information, that I'm an informed and involved patient, and that I asked "thoughtful" questions (his word there). Some years back, before I could no longer afford to keep seeing Dr. Mohai because I didn't have medical insurance (I do now!), he had some sort of medical crisis resulting in some weeks of hospitalization. The details don't matter, but what does is that he came back to work ASAP, before he probably should have, on morning hours only. He did not want to leave his patients, many of whom require extremely specialized care, in the lurch. Also, when I told him at our last appt that I would no longer be able to see him, he made sure that I had enough refills on my medication to give me time to find a rheumy I could afford, without stressing out about running out of medicine at the end of the month. Honestly if I could give anything greater than a 5 star review, I would. I also would recommend Dr. Mohai in specific if you have or suspect you have a rare rheumatologic disorder, as he has a particular interest in them. I know other people who have seen him, for things far more rare than seronegative RA, and have had equally positive experiences. A++

I have Dr. Mohai for over 20 years. He is always courtous, caring, and dedicated to providing the very best medical care that he can to me. He's also very upfront about what he can and can not do. Lastly I have found him to be very willing to listen to MY point of view about a health issue, and willing to give me credit for being the one person who knows MY BODY the best.

Dr. Mohai was my rheumatologist for about 4 or 5 years until 1992 when I moved to California. He diagnosed my psoriatic arthritis. He's probably the best doctor I've ever had. His theory in my situation was that it would be better to control the inflamation with low dosage medication and restrict the joint damage than it would be to forego the medication with possible side effects and allow the joint damage to progress. So I've been on low dosage medication since that time. I want to say thank you to Dr. Mohai. I'm now 57, and have been doing very physical type work for the past 20 years and still doing well.
