Dr. Peter J Molloy, MD

A few years ago, I was having unexplained severe diarrhea. I went through a lot of procedures including a colonoscopy with biopsy from a student of Dr Molloy's. I was diagnosed, but sent to Dr Molloy for treatment. Dr Molloy was very understanding, very personable, considered pricing of medications in determining what to prescribe. I ended up with the expensive medication because that is the one that works. I never have trouble getting an appointment, I rarely have to wait longer than a few minutes, and I feel very comfortable in this office.

In the beginning I thought wow I found a doctor who cares. My first visit was for colonoscopy, it really was not a visit it was the procedure. This doctor went one step further and because of his instinct I was diagnosed. Had he not done biopsy on what normally would no be done, I would have never been diagnosed. So with that he started medications, one that I had a reaction to. I called his office on numerous occasions only to be brushed off. Finally I had enough called family doctor who called the gastro office. Within minutes I got a phone call informing me to stop the medications that I was having reaction to an they order a new prescription. Went in for six week check up. nurse said this is what you have. . . OK? His nurse then asked how I was feeling (symptoms) and then she steps out and the gastro doc comes in and says were going to do another procedure cause he felt something else maybe going on RE symptoms. So I have that. I get a letter in the mail with my results. I call… office to ask; now what do I do? when do I come back? how long do I take the meds? what is the worst that can happen? what to expect? should I be getting blood work on regular basis? and so on. NOTHING then I start to experience severe pain, I called doc back told nurse pain was below my last right rib and there is a bulge. They send me for ultra sound. I get the ultra sound , then a phone call from nurse who said doctor said go to cardiologist? For what I ask, well we did not find anything on test and maybe your having cardio problems??? next day doc leaves a message saying maybe you fracture rib or having lung issue???? Seriously how are you coming up with this. Later I figured the nurse got something messed up that the below rib meant under right rib to her. This doctor will tell you what is wrong with you, just after that you are on your own and for me I am not a doctor so since I am not and I never heard of my disease or what to do I am screwed. He clearly wants no part of treatment of patients, just tell you what you got and kicks you in the butt on the way out the door. I am now looking for a REAL Gastro. doctor. I would not recommend this doctor unless you like being treated recklessly. If I continue to see this doctor I guarantee my health would continue to decline. By the way the website would not let me submit this without at least giving the doctor one star. Well I would never give him a one star so ignore the one the website made me add.
