Dr. Peter John Morin, MD

Doctor Morin had to deliver a tough diagnosis to my family and did this in a very honest and straightforward manner. He cared enough not to downplay anything while being compassionate and informative. He earned our full respect and trust!

Dr. Morin is an amazing and very caring doctor. His patients actually matter to him and he doesn't just shrug you off or send you to someone else. He takes the time to listen to you (and I mean really listen, unlike lots of other doctors in this area). He takes the time to ask questions and answer them. He goes through all treatment options and listens to what you would like to do as far as your treatment plan. He doesn't just push a medication that you are not comfortable with and really gives you the control over your treatment options. The most important thing for me is that he actually cares and actually listens to you. If I could I would give him 10 stars, for his caring nature, listening abilities and how involved in your care you are allowed to be. I had a surgery, which caused TN (facial nerve damage, which is thought to be one of the most painful conditions known to man) and the oral surgeon who preformed the surgery blew me off, saying there was no way it was nerve damage and… to see my pcp. My pcp didn't do much (tho I think she believed me) and sent me to an ent, who said it was tmj and did absolutly nothing to treat the "tmj", but insisted I keep seeing him to monitor progress. I went a year with this horrible pain, not knowing what is was or having any treatment or relief. I just kept having people tell me to see someone else and finally got an appointment with Dr. Morin. Just speaking with him made me feel better, just him listening and believing that my symptoms were not some ploy to obtain pain medications, made my pain more bearable. He is a great doctor and I highly recommend him to everyone, who wants a doctor to actually listen to them, let them be in control of their treatment and who actually cares about your well being and isn't just in it for the money. Who doesn't treat you like you are a drug addict, because you are in pain. Thank you Dr.Morin, for caring!

Excellent care given by Dr. Morin

Dr. Morin is one of the kindest, most caring doctor's I've had the privilege to meet. He has an uncanny ability to size up a situation and draw an educated conclusion very quickly alleviating the need for the patient or family member to explain sometimes emotionally painful situations. He has taken the time to call me to discuss my Mom's condition on weekends, nights or whenever asked and patiently and thoroughly explains complicated medical concepts and answers all questions without hesitation. The Houlton Regional Hospital and the people it serves in Aroostook County are so very lucky to have a doctor with the experience, compassion and wisdom that Dr. Morin possesses. I highly recommend him to anyone who has a loved one finding themselves facing dementia or other neurological disorders.

Have had seizures for over a year, he doesn't seem to want to listen to me and at times acts ignorant, All I'm going to say is the patient is often the best source of information, only his option seems to matter.
