Dr. Peter Joseph Ness, MD

Dr. Peter Ness specializes in ophthalmology and internal medicine, bringing 17 years of experience to eye care and general medical practice. He earned his medical degree from McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where he also completed his residency training. Dr. Ness is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Dr. Ness practices at multiple locations throughout Albany, New York, including Albany Medical Center Eye Clinic, Children's Medical Eye Consultants, and several area hospitals such as Saint Peters Hospital and Samaritan Hospital Albany Memorial Campus. He focuses on treating retinopathy of prematurity, strabismus, and amblyopia in his patients. His expertise includes performing retinal imaging, ophthalmoscopy, and strabismus surgery to help restore and preserve vision.
