Dr. Peter Richard Obligato, MD

I have no idea where the negative comments came from, and, as a nurse, they don't actually make any sense, and seem to be missing vital information. It's so hard to treat people who have no knowledge of medicine, and have them post their version of the truth. Dr. Obligato is a consummate professional, who is ever kind and patient to those of us who are fortunate enough to receive his care! He's knowledgeable, and deserves good reviews.

I developed psoriasis on my elbows and it was spreading. I hadn't found a local doctor yet so decided to visit urgent care in post falls to get a quick prescription. Dr Obligato was not friendly and after a quick look at my elbows informed me there were no prescriptions for psoriasis and I should simply use aloe vera gel. THANKS for that! (there are definitely prescriptions for psoriasis). I have blue cross with a $20 co-pay and this was obviously a waste of $20. When I received my statement from blue cross a week later, it said Dr Obligato billed them $198!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

he completely misdiagnosed my symptoms. when my symptoms got worse, i saw another doctor who properly diagnosed and treated me. if i hadn't been treated by the second doctor and just continued on the course of action and medications that dr. Obligato had prescribed, i would probably be suffering from permanent kidney damage. he even prescribed the WRONG MEDICATION. he has no business practicing medicine.

He never introduced himself during the brief and few contacts with me, the patient. Nor did himself or the nurse inform me of my discharge instructions.
