Dr. Peter B Ojo, MD

I'd give him a negative 10 stars if possible Ojo is not deserving of the title Dr. He is horrible. He did surgery on me. Never explained the surgery or the possible complications to me - just showed up and said sign her so I can operate and then left. Ojo did not even bother to see me the first two days after surgery, claiming I was asleep and he didn't want to bother me. REALLY!!!!! His attitude was rude and abrupt - totally uncaring. He had them packing my wound, which was not necessary and extremely painful, even with strong pain meds. He was planning on sending me to a skilled nursing facility to continue the packing of the wound until and another very knowledgeable and compassionate doctor stepped in and stopped the packing and sent me home with a home care nurse and wound care. He never scheduled any follow up care with him for me. My surgery was done incorrectly and after eight weeks of constant pain, I had the surgery redone by a doctor who knew what he was doing, and have had… little pain since. Ojo should be banned

I had stitches and after the specified time I had them removed. Wound opened up for two more weeks (based on other medical opinions due to suture thread used by Dr. Ojo). Went in for a follow up on the open wound, was very little help. Then charged me as separate surgical appointment (not a follow up) when for numerous reasons (within allotted time, complication from surgery, etc) should have been considered a follow up and not been charged.

He is a butcher.Asked him about my family member.He said he doesn't get paid to talk to people he gets paid to do surgery only and walked way from the family

After struggling with a misdiagnosed health condition for two years, I was transported by ambulance to Wilson Hospital from a smaller facility for emergency surgery...all Syracuse hospitals were on diversion, so I had few options and no prior knowledge of Dr. Ojo. He was waiting for me to arrive, ordered tests quickly, and I was in surgery early the next morning. My condition was been successfully resolved and I fee better than I had in quite some time. He subsequently referred me to another doctor for a related issue and helped me to quickly obtain an appointment. In the office, he is not particularly talkative, but is pleasant and polite, and has answered all of my questions completely so I have felt informed. I am grateful he was able to help me!

Dr. Ojo accurately diagnosed my condition, ordered the appropriate preop tests, explained what the surgery would entail and always asked if I had any questions. I understood what the surgery entailed, what the benefits and risks were ahead of time since he had discussed these with me ahead of time. There were no surprises. He is very confident and with good reason. I have had no post op issues and the post op care in his office was excellent. I believe he cares about his patients' welfare and i am very thankful that I had Dr. Ojo for my surgeon.

Worst surgeon I've ever encountered. Not only did he flub my surgery (a misdiagnosed condition) but he was arrogant and condescending and very unresponsive to questions both right after surgery to my family but afterwards as well. It took several visits for check ups for him to even be able to "remember" what he did as far as the surgery went. My advice to anyone needing surgery? Stay away! I didn't research him as my doctor(s) recommended him....big mistake....I'm now suffering the consequences and need follow up corrective surgery.

It was a struggle to work with Dr. Ojo. Beyond the typical surgeon arrogance, he was condescending, impatient and unwilling to discuss my mother's case in any detail. I have filed an official complaint with the hospital and urge others to do likewise.

Bad bedside manner. Bad follow-up care.Poor knowledge of surgical situation. Poor knowledge of what is involved after surgery. Poor communication skills.

After going to the emergency room, Dr. Ojo was the "doctor" they gave my husband. My husband was admitted very early on a saturday morning. On Sunday evening after my husband complained for a day and a half of being in severe pain, Dr Ojo finally did surgery. I think maybe we interrupted his weekend. After the surgery, the doctor came to the waiting room. He did not explain very well what he had done. The next day when I asked more questions, he smuggly said I told you everything last night. He made me feel like a total idiot! Each day my husband was in the hospital I felt like things were not explained to us and if I had a question, I was basically told that we could ask the Dr. the next day when he did rounds, however, you never knew what time that was going to be. Dr Ojo's bedside manner is horrible. He does not explain things well at all. If having a loved one in the hospital upsets you and flusters you and means that you might need an understanding doctor who explains things well… and has just a little bit of compassion and acts like he actually cares about his patients, then this is not the doctor for you or your family. My opinion is that he likes his status of being a "doctor", but he does not care about his patients at all.

my overall experience with him was great,and i would recomend him over and over again.
