Nobody answers the phone, front desk put me on hold multiple times with no follow up... Then called billing 10- times but Brenda in billing doesn't believe in answering the phone to enable me to pay my Dr. O bill... Communication within their office is a serious issue.

AWFUL!!! Disrespectful, dismissive, interrupts, combative, extremely rude, long wait times, and did not even order a scan for patient, after six weeks of treatment. He said he does not know if infection is still in the bone or not, WHAT!!! What was the point of six weeks of treatment, and then no order for scan to see if infection is still in the bone! This is absolute negligence!!! Sepsis can kill!!!

Time means ABSOLUTELY nothing to this doctor. Staff won’t answer the phone, can’t leave message as mail box is full. I had a telemedicine appt at 2:15, they FINALLY called at 3:50. I asked to have home health care remove a PICC line since I was finished with the iv antibiotics. Btw, prescribed antibiotics made me nauseous and could not keep food down. I lost about 30 pounds as a result. NOBODY CARED!! Dr. ‘O’ said he would send orders to have ELARA home health care remove PICC line. Orders weren’t sent. I FINALLY was able to contact doctors office next day and she said orders had been sent but she would resend them. ELARA called me and advised they had just now received the order. They had someone at my residence within the hour and removed the line. I will NEVER, EVER do business with this doctor again. Judging from all the negative reviews I’ve read about him, I’m not the first. I’m TOTALLY dissatisfied with the level of care that I received and I HIGHLY resent being ignored at the… expense of me and my insurance company. If you’re in need of an infectious disease doctor, FIND SOMEONE ELSE, it can’t be any worse.

What to expect: Staff silience. Hours of waiting. Overcrowded waiting room. Rushed doctor. Scheduled follow up for more of the same. How to prepare: Pack breakfast, lunch, a snack, and some water. Consider a book or couple of movies. Pray for those around you to have good hygiene (they will be close to you a very long time.) Best practice: Skip this office altogether. Find a better doctor with friendly staff and time management skills.

I have started seeing Dr. Okwuasaba. I wanted a caring, understanding doctor that takes his time to listen to my needs. No, he's in a hurry. If you don't understand something he gets upset. On a script for cream. The label says apply to effected area. He gets upset with me. Tells me I'm doing it all wrong. He should had been more clearer about it. He should of had the Pharmacy to directly tell me on the label how to apply the cream correctly. My first visit he told me their's not very many Infectious disease doctors. I took that kinda rude. I've had a rash over a month. Both creams didn't work. I called several times. I received 1 call back. Out of nowhere I get told Dr. Okwuasaba referring you to a Dermatologist. I said okay. This Dermatologist I guess was to call me. Took like 4 weeks. A nurse at Dr. Okwuasaba told me I was to call the Dermatologist. What Dermatologist. Lots of them around Tulsa. I been itching this whole time. I have been taking… photos of my rash spreading. I think it's rude when I call needing medical advice about my medication, related medical condition and I get told they will return my call & never do, same goes for a voicemail. Tulsa care told me if I notice anything different or have questions to call Dr. Okwuasaba office. Its true. When Dr. Okwuasaba comes into the room he never allowed much time to talk. He asks a few questions that's it. He's gone. I had a test done. Never got the results nor did he check out the rash to see if it's getting better. He doesn't listen to what I need to say. Doesn't take the time. Dermatologist finaly called me. I'm not a Nurse to do referrals nor call up patients to get into a new doctor being referred to. That's their job to call me & setup a appointment. My medication. I have concerns. He dont listen. My numbers are dropping. Tells me it could of been a laboratory error. I'm not pleased. I want a professional doctor who will take the time to listen and educate me more about my illness and fine the appropriate care I need. I have called with my problems. Like I said, Dr. Okwuasaba staff don't call back. I've lost a lot of weight, no appetite. I feel my medicine may not be working. Been on it for over a year & if Dr. Okwuasaba cared. He check into it. He don't.

I CONTRACTED MRSA IN 2010 HE WAS VERY MATTER OF FACT HE PUT ME ON I.V AT HOME AND SAVED MY LIFE I WOULD TRUST HIM WITH MY LIFE AGAIN

I had my third back surgery in a three year period and contacted MSSA that was ignored by my neurosurgeon for two months post op. Everything revolved around the lack of "blood work showed no sign of infection" despite open wounds and incision with draining. Finally after two cultures came back positive for staph, I was referred to Dr Okwausaba. He took me seriously, listened to my history, and ignored lab tests and went with common sense and gut instincts. I had a Picc line within a week, and was on my way to recovery. I am hopeful that the antibiotics will work, but if not, I trust that he will find what works.

great doctor and very understanding

Very good doctor. He saved my wife's life. He is very too the point. If you are looking for a doctor to tell you what YOU want to hear, then he is not your guy. Staff is very friendly. We had to wait a bit for our appointment, but it was worth it. He takes alot of time with his patients

I did not have a problem with the Dr. It is their billing department. It has been 8 months since I have been fighting them over a bill. They say we owe them money and my Insurance Co. says They have paid it. We have sent them the paper work more than once and it is still not resolved.
