I was one of his first Mitral Valve repair patients with surgery done by thoracotomy. So called "Minimally Invasive" repair surgery. I will try to keep this as concise as possible. 1-Repair fell apart 3 months after the surgery. The stitches actually came undone in my valve causing severe regurgitation casing me to have a Mitral valve replacement done by full open heart surgery 1 year later (with a different surgeon) . 2-broken bone in my back during surgery. Complained after the surgery about the severe back pain and nothing was done at the hospital to find out why. Didn't find out till 2 months later that I had a fracture in a back rib. 3-Cut the nerve to my right thigh during surgery. The day they went to get me out of bed after surgery, I had unbearable burning/ searing pain in my thigh and could not stand. For that they took me for scan to make sure I did not have a clot. It was just a cut nerve which 2.5 years later still causes me pain in my thigh. 4-Bedside manner at… hospital was really bad. Literally comes in room very early while you are sleeping and runs out the door before you realize it's him and can ask any questions. 5-did the repair without putting on an annular ring. Was told I had one inserted but not told that it was taken out! Didnt find out about that till 1 year later. 6-was not honest about a lot of things.

Dr Pluscht is an amazing Dr. He did open heart surgery on my husband replacing his aorta valve, his mitral valve and an ablation. The ablation didn’t fix the AFIB problem, but my husband is doing amazing!! Surgery was May 2017. Dr. Pluscht is absolutely the best!!! God has given him an amazing ability to help with heart problems!! Highly recommend!!
