Dr. Peter Lee Powers, MD

Since my NP left I will no longer be going here. I contacted them via fax to request new prescriptions with no response at all. Not even a call to say my NP had to leave due to a family emergency. When I found out she was gone, I contacted them again and asked what I needed to do to get my prescriptions and got no response. The new people buying Dr. Powers practice are inexperienced and have horrible management practices. They are running Dr. Powers business out of business.

Leaving the practice...I think Dr. Powers is mainly retired. Not impressed with the nurse practitioner that we saw. Both my husband and I feel she in not competent.

I have been a long-time patient with Dr. Powers. In the past couple years he has pushed most of his patients to his nurse practitioners. The quality of the office care has gone downhill dramatically and I am now going to be leaving his office. Over and over I have had to get test results, such as blood work and EKGs, but somehow the office cannot seem to get the results back, they do not follow-up, and I end up having to call them and average of 5 times to get my results. If this happened only once or twice, that would be one thing. Unfortunately, this is now the norm for this office. I had been quite happy with Dr. Powers, but now he seems to be gone from his office and the rest of the crew there is a major disappointment. I would not recommend going to this office.

I recently saw his Nurse Practitioner Lynn and was very disappointed. Unfortunately, I will be leaving the practice.

Dr. Powers is by far the foremost expert on diabetes in the area. He is very caring, explains things in detail, and does not talk down to patients. He is also excellent and diagnosing problems and has a real understanding of the tests he is prescribing as well as the medication.

Friendly office, compassionate and caring. Remember patient names which gives a personal feel in the office. Takes time to listen and really hear what you have to say.
