I was a long-time patient at Greenleaf Medical Associates and witnessed firsthand the steep decline of this practice. If you’re searching for a reliable primary care doctor near Libertyville or Gurnee, avoid Dr. Peter Puthenveetil. He no longer prioritizes patient care—this clinic now focuses on cosmetic procedures and cash-pay services over meaningful medical treatment. The medical staff is robotic, unhelpful, and completely disengaged. Communication is nonexistent, unless you count receiving a termination letter without explanation. There’s zero follow-up, minimal accountability, and absolutely no continuity of care. It’s a disorganized, reactive medical office where patients are left chasing the basics—prescription refills, test results, and even basic respect. This is no longer a healthcare partnership—it’s a profit-first operation where genuine patient… needs come last. Avoid this practice. Your health deserves better.

I have been a patient of Dr.Peter's for many years. He has seen me through a lot of medical conditions . He is very thorough and very ethical to say the least. He actually sees my son also. We enjoy his staff who seems to know all the patients very well. Have always had great care with this medical practice in every aspect. We can highly recommend this practice.

Great Doc!

A friend referred me to Dr. Puthenveetil's practice in Park City as I was looking for a physician closer to home. So far I've seen Dr. Puthenveetil for my annual physical and a one-time issue regarding my back. I fully appreciate how prompt they are on keeping on schedule - I only waited in the waiting room as I was there 10min early. I'm curious why some of the reviews around staff are as low as they are...the front-desk process was easy and the person rooming me was all smiles and made eye contact - one thing I did not see in my past physician office. Am hoping this is a long-term relationship. Thanks.

I've always hated going to doctors for any problems and my co workers recommended him when I had issues with my gull bladder. Now I go for my check ups with no complaints. Wait time is never long and I never feel rushed or uncomfortable when I'm in a room. He's easy to talk to and is a great doctor. I recommend him to everyone I know and hear nothing but great stuff about him and all the staff in his office. You won't be disappointed :)

Dr. P. is a great doctor. He listens, and ask questions. While his office is very busy, when he is with a patient they have his full attention. While on vacation I got very sick and called him after hours. He got right back to me and told me what I needed to do. If you are looking for a well educated caring doctor with a great bedside manner he is the one you are looking for.

Absolutely love Dr. P.!!! He is one of the most caring doctors I have ever had! I really wish he would get better office staff because a few of the young ladies aren't very friendly or helpful at all, kind of cold, but his professionalism and caring makes him a great doctor.

Dr P is the best! very friendly, compassionate and thorough. I can honestly say he saved my life! Staff is a total opposite...can be and usually are rude and dont even look at you when speaking...then again most staff and customer service is like that today!

After getting my own Health Insur,I've been going to Dr.P for 8 years and he is great. When I got married,I had my wife try it there and she is very happy with him. When we have our first child, I'm should he will be great with her too. He is what every Dr should work and care as he does.
