Dr. Peter Steven Pyatak, MD

I really cannot say enough great things about Dr. Pyatak. I unfortunately found out that my baby had no heartbeat at 40 weeks pregnant. I was in labor and admitted to the hospital while Dr. Pyatak was the doc on call. He was swift at assisting me during such a traumatic time. Within about an hour of being at the hospital I had an ultrasound, my IV with fluids and pain meds, my epidural and a clear plan of action. Dr. Pyatak (and all of the L&D nurses and other L&D docs) were phenomenal. Dr. Pyatak was sincere, personable, knowledgeable and greatly respectful to us and our stillborn baby. Even pausing to have a moment with our son while he was in the bassinet in our room. Dr. Pyatak’s display of affection and sorrow for our loss meant so much to us as parents going through this tragic experience. He also made sure to answer our MANY questions. Never rushing us, but always reassuring us and keeping our emotions in mind. He was always clear with what he was ordering to be done for my… care and gave us his full attention. Because of my experience with Dr. Pyatak and MWHC my husband and I have decided to establish care with Dr. Pyatak as my primary OB. I feel like Dr. Pyatak has “scooped us up” after this terrible experience and is going to be alongside us as we move forward in our effort to have more children. Again I can’t say enough. I have seen some low reviews on him and I do not understand them. He is a genuine doctor and will give you sincere care.

I had never met Dr. Pyatak before the night he delivered my son. My regular OB was not on call when I delivered so I got Dr. Pyatak. My labor was fast and furious and the nurse called him to deliver me at 11:30 PM. He walked in the room and did not introduce himself. He then scolded the nurse for calling him too early. She assured him that I was a good pusher and that it wouldn’t take long. While I was pushing, I looked up several times to see Dr. Pyatak FALLING ASLEEP. His head would bob and his eyes were closed while I was trying to deliver my son. I am thankful that my nurse was awesome and made sure that my baby and I were safe. It was clear that Dr. Pyatak did not care enough to be awake during my son’s birth. DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR.

wait time = 2 hours very obvious he did not want to answer any questions, does not care about his patients, and will do absolute minimum to complete appointment

Doesn't listen and not helpful.

Dr. Pyatak is horrible. He is very impersonable, and seems to not care about his patients. The front desk receptionist always talks so fast you have no clue what they said. This is by far the worst obgyn I have ever went to in my entire life! Find another dr!
