If you want pills he’s your guy. He’ll pray with you and then give you your Xanax and adderall. He’s been giving my mom Xanax for 20+ years and now Adderal for over 10 years. I’m going to file a complaint with the medical board, mercy, and the local authorities.

I could tell that Dr. Ritsema is called by God to be a physician. He really cares about you. He wants to do everything in his power to get you well and feeling your best. I went to him because my previous doctor kept pushing me from specialist to specialist and I couldn't afford to be shuffled around. I have already been diagnosed and wanted a doctor that could manage my health care. He is an absolutely outstanding physician and I feel that I am blessed to have been able to become his patient. If you want a doctor that treats you like a valued human being and not a dollar bill in his back pocket, then he is the doctor for you. He listens to your complaints and wants to get to the bottom of the problem to make you well. Very impressed with him and, with my health history, I have seen a lot of doctors. He is one of the rare doctors that you will have the pleasure of seeing. You will not be disappointed!

Dr Ritsema cares about his patients! He makes you feel like you are his most important patient.

I only saw him once at urgent care but he struck me as different immediately. He is very compassionate and everything he does is for the patient. I have a uncommon condition and he encouraged me to educate myself as many doctors arent familiar with my condition. He let me know everything that was going on with me even explained my test results item by item and allowed me to be part of the decision for how to treat me. I would recommend him to anyone, one of the kindest doctors I have ever met.

I have been seeing Dr. Ritsema for about 5 years and he is by far the best physician that I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. He takes all the time you need to answer any questions you may have about anything and is very thorough. The down side to that is the wait times can sometimes be long because he gives each patient all the time they need, including me when he finally gets to me. I no longer live near his office so I drive 40 miles one way to see him. It is so difficult to find a doctor that cares as much as Dr. Ritsema does, which is why I make that drive. It is so worth it!! I highly recommend "Ritz" to anyone that is looking for a caring, compassionate and friendly family physician.

I've never had a problem with Dr. Ritsema's care. He's always been kind, courteous, and accurate with the health care of my entire family. Problem is he's popular and this has led him to become really overloaded/overbooked. The office staff are professional and usually smiling. The only problem I've ever had is waiting four months to see him.
