Dr. Peter Stephen Ross, MD

I was referred to Mr. Ross when considering the use of an Insulin Pump. Ross was impatient & acted like he had somewhere else to be as soon as he entered the room. I've had Type 1 Diabetes since 1965 & have seen many experts over the years & I've never had respect for a medical provider who didn't care enough to listen. Ross left the exam in the middle of my questions. At least he read my reaction to him, I would recommend him for Nothing! Cretin! My sister-in-law told me her experience with him was not up to her minimum expectations & he was rude.

I have seen Dr. Ross for the past six years for hypothyroidism. I appreciate his efficient, no nonsense manner and have found him to be extremely competent.

I didn't check his reviews when I first started seeing this physician. My PCP had referred me to him for hyperthyroidism. Studying his credentials I decided to give him a try. I have been with this doctor for just under two years now and I JUST HAVE HAD ENOUGH! He put me on Methimazole and my symptoms progressively got worse but he would not care to listen to them seriously, and would always draw blood and change the dose of the medications based on the levels. But the worse thing is that he was so inconsistent with his practice, because sometimes he would say that I would not need any changes in the dosage and sometimes he would change the dosage just randomly for the same result on the lab test. When I discussed about radioactive iodine therapy, he said it is a bad option and I should not even think about it. This was laughable because in this country the most common treatment for hyperthyroid is RADIOACTIVE IODINE. So, now I have decided to part ways with this terrible doctor and I… pity myself for not making this decision sooner as it would have saved me from so much of suffering.

The front desk is ignorant and rude ... ignored the fact that my primary doctor referred me and acted as if they were the treating physician . This doctor like everyone has said has no bedside manner and rarely makes eye contact . If you are concerned about your health this is the last person you want to see.

Very arrogant and impatient. This guy has the bedside manner of a doorknob. Additionally, he doesn't really care or listen. IN TRANSMIT MODE ONLY. Don't miss an appointment or they really will charge you 50 dollars. You on the other h and will have to wait 30-50 minutes for him to see you. I'm looking for a different guy at any cost.

I should have read the reviews but since my PCP referred me to Dr. Ross, I didn't think anything of it. I was so wrong, the reviews are right. He has no bedside manner as many has stated. I guess if you see so many patients each day, you become desensitized to everything. What was shocking was he belittled my PCP (who referred me to him) and his diagnoses but he never provided me a solution himself. He simply said "Sorry". I walked out that office that day, more confused, without a solution and definitely a lot poorer. Dr. Ross, you need to find a heart. You may have years of experience but you are losing patience and your reputation.

My GP and my surgeon both recommended Dr. Ross for my follow up care after thyroid cancer and a complete thyroidectomy. His office staff were not the friendliest, but they got the job done. (There is a change of front office staff taking place right now, though.) When I saw Dr. Ross, he was very perfunctory, and when I asked him questions about my upcoming radioactive Iodine treatment, he asked, "where did you hear about all of this?" I told him I did some research online and he said, "just read the materials we gave you," and left.... but they didn't answer most of the questions I had! I know he knows what he is doing, he went to Harvard, but I get the feeling that he does not want to answer questions or interact with patients.

Cannot even start to tell you how bad he is, i could have told him that i had bleeding from my nose and ears and he would have not cared....so bad will never go back

Dr. Ross is great. He is direct, informative, and quick. My appointments are generally very quick bit I have a sense that if there was something grave to discuss, he would give me the time. He is not a chatty person, so if you are looking to see him as a social event, go somewhere else. I also like the fact that he himself calls to report my lab results whether they are positive or negative. It certainly takes the worry out of answering the phone when I get those calls. His staff is friendly and responsive.
