Dr. Peter James Russo

My daughter Rylie and myself had a cleaning approximately one month ago and we were told we had a few cavities and needed some fillings, so we scheduled an appointment for 11/27/17 for 11:00am (Rylie) and 11:30am (me). Due to a school issue for my daughter, I called the morning of 11/27/17 to see if we could push the appointment back in the day by any amount of time, and after multiple calls with no answer, I finally reached someone at the front desk and I was told they could not move the appointments to later in the day. My daughter and I showed up at 10:57am and signed in, and was told to take a seat in the waiting room. 11:15 came around we still hadnt been called in, and I went to the front desk to ask if we would be seen soon and to ask for a dental records request form for my family, which I filled out and requested the records be sent to my address. I was told by the secretary that we "should be seen soon." Rylie was finally seen at 11:29, and recieved her two fillings while… I sat and observed, this was finished at 11:48. She went with an assisstant to pick out a prize. During that time I asked "will I been having my filling in this room?" and an assisstant said "yes." Dr. Russo then asked "Are you switching practices?" and I told him that I was "planning on it due to the extensive wait today and the fact that my wife who has been having tooth pain has called 4 times and left 2 messages over the past week with no call back." Dr. Russo then said "then we are done" and stood up to walk out. I told him I have had this appointment for right now, for my fillings, for over a month now. He then said "Get them at your new practice." I asked him "Are you refusing to provide care right now?" and he answered "Yes" and then he walked out of the room. At this point I was greatly offended and told him and the staff that this was the most unprofessional conduct I have ever seen out of a doctor. This is objectively Patient Abandonment as described in the ADA Section 2 (2.F) Nonmaleficence.
