Dr. Peter Sallay, MD

After examining me and reviewing my MRI, Dr. Sallay had his hand on the doorknob for the remainder of the appointment (as if he was in a hurry to leave the room). I felt like he dismissed my questions and rushed me simply because he quickly determined that I would not be a surgery candidate.

Dr. Sallay did surgery to fix my proximal hamstring injury. Without a doubt, the best medical experience of my life. Thankful I found a skilled surgeon to fix this rare injury.

Dr. Peter Sallay is the best doctor I have ever had conduct surgery on me. I have had over 16 different surgeries all related to tendon tears in different parts of my body. I tore my hamstring over a year and a half ago and researched all the doctors in my area of Louisville KY. I was referred to Dr. Sallay and he performed what I considered a miracle by reattaching my hamstring using a cadaver. My pain before surgery was off the chart and I now have full use of the hamstring with no pain. Dr. Sallay will take time and listen to all your concerns, if you are looking for a great surgeon he's the best.

I was very disappointed in the exam that was given as only a couple of office has given. It was been noted later with another physician that there were additional problems with my left knee that the doctor at Methodist did not even check at Methodist did nothing to you take care of the problem that I had with my need to end up going to another physician that I actually know the problem with my knee and was able to complete surgery and provide rehabilitation

I have had frozen shoulder in both shoulders. After messing with local doctors for over a year with my first frozen shoulder, I decided to go to Dr Sallay who is a couple hour drive away. He took xrays and diagnosed me immediately, gave steroid injection, told me to let it rest for awhile, then gave me therapy to do once the inflammation was down. My shoulder did just as he said it would do. Then when it came on the other shoulder, I didn't mess around. I immediately went to him, he did the same thing and the 2nd shoulder healed much quicker because of his immediate care. I would definitely recommend him again. He knows what he's doing and is good about explaining it all, and helping you see a light at the end of the tunnel! His nurse is also very knowledgeable and helpful!!!
