Dr. Peter Sam, MD

Dr. Peter Sam is a family medicine physician who earned his medical degree from the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine. He completed his residency at UC Irvine Medical Center and has been practicing medicine for 45 years. Dr. Sam is fluent in English, Chinese, Tagalog, and Korean.

Dr. Sam practices at multiple locations throughout Oakland, California, including affiliations with Wilma Chan Highland Hospital Campus, Kaiser Permanente Oakland Medical Center, and Alta Bates Summit Medical Center Summit Campus. He specializes in managing high blood pressure conditions, including both standard hypertension and urgent cases requiring immediate attention. Dr. Sam also provides pediatric care for children with blood pressure concerns and performs routine diagnostic tests such as blood work and diabetes monitoring through A1c testing.
