Peter Sarnacki, DO

Peter F. Sarnacki, DO, is a board-certified pediatric epileptologist with MSU Health Care Neurology and Ophthalmology and an assistant professor of neurology and ophthalmology at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. He specializes in diagnosing and treating epilepsy and seizures in infants and children.

Dr. Sarnacki completed medical school at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his pediatric neurology residency and epilepsy fellowship at Cleveland Clinic. He also earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and humanities from Siena Heights University.

Dr. Sarnacki’s clinical expertise and research interests include difficult-to-treat epilepsies, developmental and epileptic encephalopathies (such as infantile epileptic spasms syndrome and Lennox-Gastaut syndrome), status epilepticus, long-term EEG monitoring, pre-surgical evaluations, ketogenic diet therapy, and emerging precision treatments.
