Dr. Peter Klaus Schoenwald, MD

Peter K. Schoenwald, MD, is a Cleveland native who attended Case Western Reserve University for both undergraduate studies and medical school. He received his internship, anesthesia residency and fellowship training at Cleveland Clinic and has worked in the Anesthesia Institute for over 25 years. Presently he is a staff anesthesiologist in the Department of General Anesthesiology and has interests in anesthesia for outpatient, colorectal, orthopedic and vascular anesthesia. He served as the Head of the Section of Vascular Anesthesia for almost 10 years. He has academic interests in resident education, received the Staff Educator of the Year award in the Anesthesiology Institute and has been appointed Associate Director for Anesthesiology Education. Dr. Schoenwald serves on or chairs various academic and institutional committees. Additionally he is on the faculty of the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine.
